"Yes, that would be perfect. I love my parents, but I don't think they can stand against this guy," I said as I spoke on the phone. Barry walked in with a baby on each arm, he smiled at me as Henry reached out for me to hold him. I smiled back as I took Henry and balanced him on my hip. but I missed what Lyla said. "Sorry, Lyla. Got distracted by cute babies, can you say that again?"
"Colorado, that's where I have a safehouse set up. With everything going on with Oliver," Lyla said to me. "John wants me to make sure that I keep everyone's families safe."
"So, that's where you would take my kids and family?" I asked her. Barry gave me a look and mouthed to ask her exactly where. "Barry wants to know exactly where."
"I would be placing your entire family in NORAD," Lyla said. "I have friends in the Air Force. They might not be alone, either."
"I'll call my parents and tell them to get on a plane," I said.
"Don't worry about that, just tell them to expect ARGUS to stop by and pick them up tonight," Lyla said.
"How is the trial going?" I asked.
"They're getting ready for the closing statements for tomorrow morning," Lyla told me.
"How is William doing?" I asked.
Lyla sighed, "Felicity is helping, but it's been hard on all of them."
I bit my lip and Barry glared at me, "do you think it would be alright if I came down?"
Lyla didn't respond at first, and I was beginning to worry that I had overstepped. "I think it would help Oliver knowing that his son's meta-human godmother would be there if anything went wrong."
"Alright, I'll be there soon then," I said.
"How soon?" Lyla asked.
"As soon as I can get my husband to agree to this," I told her.
"Do you have a place to stay?" Lyla asked.
"STAR labs has a few buildings left, I kept one of the ones in Star City," I told her.
"I'll let Felicity know you're coming," Lyla told me. "See you soon, and thanks for this, it'll really help them out."
I hung up and turned to face Barry who did not look happy, "how long would it take to get myself and the twins to Star City?" I asked Barry as I put Henry in his crib and went to grab a few bags.
"You're not going," Barry said as he followed me.
"I'm not going anything here," I told Barry.
"You have work," Barry tried.
"The AP classes I taught are out and I don't teach college," I replied easily.
"What if DeVoe shows up?" Barry asked.
"Then you can run and get me," I replied.
"What if-" Barry began, but he was running out of ideas.
I gave Barry a look, "William is my godson. I haven't been going over there to help, and just trying to talk to him over the phone is not gonna cut it this time."
"What if we need help?" Barry asked.
"Then you can come and get me," I told him.
Barry pouted, "I don't like it when you're not home."
I smiled as I kissed him, "I know. I'll be back soon, just don't blow anything up while I'm gone."
"No promises," Barry said.
