"You know, just because you two broke up, doesn't mean you should hang out with your mom," I said flatly.
"Don't you like the help?" Esther asked.
Iris gave her a look, "you've been staring out that window for thirty minutes."
"No, I haven't," Esther objected.
I held up a timer, "I've been keeping track."
"Keeping track of what?" Barry asked.
"How much longer the pie I'm making needs to be in the oven for," I said brightly, and Esther gave me a thankful look.
"Apple pie?" Barry asked.
"Maybe," I said brightly.
"Probably three pies," Iris said as she returned to her research.
"I'm gonna go meet up with Henry," Esther said quickly before running off.
"What wrong with her?" Barry asked.
"Henry's going back soon, and I think she's nervous," I told Barry.
"Is she thinking about going back too?" Iris asked.
I sighed, "I don't know."
"Kara and Lex Luthor?" Barry asked as he looked at the magazine. "Man, this post-Crisis world gets harder to understand every day."
"Right," Iris agreed distractedly.
"Man," Barry groaned as he rolled his shoulders.
"What's wrong?" I asked with concern.
"I'm still sore from our little double date with Amunet and Goldface," Barry said. "So, so weird."
"Yeah, Esther told me about the things you witnessed," I said trying not to laugh at my husband's discomfort.
"Maybe you should stay home today," Iris said.
"Yes, help with your children," I said brightly.
"No, no," Barry objected. I think he was more afraid of the twins than anything. "Are you working on more Black Hole stuff?"
"Yeah, I think I am getting really close to taking this son of a bitch down," Iris said.
"The twins are in the room," I reminded.
"Right, sorry," Iris said as Esther opened her mouth to repeat what Iris just said. "Don't you dare, young lady."
"That's the mirror gun?" Barry asked.
"Yeah, it contains bleeding-edge reflective micro-chip technology," Iris said. "If I can examine the gun up close, then maybe I can find some kind of small clue that connects the gun to Black Hole since McCulloch created it. It's still in the Starchives, right?"
"Yeah, yeah, it is," Barry said.
"Could you, um, get it for me?" Iris asked, and I gave her a look.
"Uh I-I mean, unlocking a weapon like that sounds like a bad idea," Barry said.
"Barry, it's me," Iris reminded.
"I-I know, but I mean, after what just happened with you and Carver w-what if the gun fell into the wrong hands? Just like the cold gun fell into Snart's," Barry stuttered.
"It won't, trust me."
"Iris, I look, you I trust, but, um, the guy who just tried to-to have you assassinated," Barry said.
