"You get to give the pep-talk this time," Iris told me as she took Esther from me. "And I get to babysit."
I just watched Iris confused as she walked into the lab, somehow keeping Esther quiet, something I hadn't been able to do all day. I walked up to a very stressed Barry, "I think our daughter just got kidnapped."
"Iris?" Barry asked, not even alarmed, since he knows I would go into attack mode and burn people if they actually tried to kidnap one of our children.
I nodded, "she said something about a pep-talk. So, I'm guessing training with Ralph didn't go so well."
"You have that right," Barry said, beginning to pace back and forth. "Ralph just won't take it seriously. First, he tells me he wants to fight. Then, the next thing I know, he's sprouting some nonsense about how we'd be DC comics."
"Barr," I told him gently as I grabbed his arm. "Ralph is just trying to not let all of this doom and gloom get him down. And what about DC comics?"
"He's just making a big joke out of the whole thing," Barry said.
"It's just the way he is, Barry," I said slowly.
"I know, but I mean, he needs to think like a hero, stay on point. DeVoe's thought of everything. We can't just wing this one," Barry said.
I gave him a look, "we've never really winged it full out."
"Right," Barry said.
"Look, we'll figure it out. We always do, right?" I asked him smiling. "Melting Point's on our team now. We just have to find the other two bus metas, and we'll be in good shape."
"You are amazing," Barry said kissing me.
"Don't I know it," I said with a wink as we walked in. Henry was sitting calmly in Caitlin's arms as they watched Henry, but then Barry had to disrupt the silence.
"Where are we with tracking down Edwin Gauss and Janet Petty?" Barry asked, and the twins began glaring at him. I didn't even think they knew how yet.
"No, no, he's-" Caitlin began.
"What?"
"He's still-" I began, but Harry snapped again.
"Working on it. I can't work with all this noise," Harry said sitting down and then a farting noise filled the air and Henry began to laugh.
"That is disgusting, Harry. Really, grow up," Ralph said in mock seriousness and then Harry threw the whoopie-cushion at him making Esther laugh.
"Great, my daughter likes violence as much as my wife," Barry said.
"Harry, look. Every time you try to locate these guys, it's the same thing. I'm telling you. You just crack that thing open. It's probably broken," Cisco said.
"It's not broken! It's just finding these two is complicated," Harry snapped.
"Why is that?" I asked curiously since I've been a little busy with going back to work and taking care of the twins when Barry is busy.
"Because this dude, Edwin Gauss, flat out disappeared the day Allen came out of the Speed Force. No credit card charges. No bank withdraws. No social media posts, nothing. Gone," Harry told me, somehow, patiently.
"What about Janet Petty?" I asked, looking at the blue-haired chick. I wished I had enough guts to dye my hair fun colors.
"Just as tricky," Harry said.
"I asked Joe to pull her file from CCPD. Her first known record wasn't until she was thirteen. Some sort of a nomad," Iris told us.
"Last known address: Iron Heights," Caitlin said.
