"That's great Mum," I said as I talked with her over the phone.

"Did you listen to a single thing I said?" She asked.

"You're teaching again, Dad and Esther almost got killed, Ralph has basically told dad he proposed, and you guys passed the mantal to the next superhero couple. Did I forget anything? Oh! And there is an adorable little Asian girl in your class who's in the foster system that you're tutoring in music."

"I guess you were listening," Mum said with an amused expression. "You just looked distracted."

"Sorry, I was thinking about something," I said.

"Or someone?" Mum asked, and I could see the glint in her eyes.

"Mum," I complained.

"What? Can't I know what's going on in my daughter's love life?"

"No, you cannot know," I said, and then William walked in.

"Know what?" He asked.

"Nothing!" I said loudly.

"Who's that?" Mum asked.

"Nobody!" I said even louder.

"I'm nobody? I feel hurt," William said as he came over to look at my phone.

"Hello there," Mum said, but William just looked shocked.

"Anyhow, tell everyone I said hi," I told Mum quickly. "Give dad a hug for me, and a kiss for Georgie."

"Alright," Mum said, but I could tell she wasn't fooled. "Love you."

"Love you too!" I said brightly. "Goodluck with Hope!"

"Hope?" William asked when I hung up on my mother.

"A little girl in the foster system Mum is tutoring," I explained.

"Does your Mom know-" William began, but I shook my head. "She would want to be here, but she's recovering from having Georgie. And she needs to spend time with Dad."

"I'd love to see her," William said as I walked towards Mia and Oliver. "Why haven't you told her."

"Because she's needed at home," I said shortly.

"You just repeated that she passed on the mantal to your sister," William pointed out. "So, they don't really need Light."

"But Dad needs Mum," I said.

"I'm sure he wouldn't mind her seeing me, he could even run her here," William said.

"Just leave it alone," I snapped.

"You don't want a break maybe?" I heard Oliver ask Mia as we walked in.

"She's a machine, Dad," William said tersely. "They don't need breaks. And speaking of machines, I have something to show you guys."

Mia gave me a questioning look, "he's cranky."

"I created a facial recognition algorithm to find that General that Curtis told us about, which was a lot harder than it sounds, because no offense to Felicity, but these computers are, like, a million years old," William said. "And Russia is a very big country."

"William," Mia prompted.

"Right," William said. "Sorry. His name is General Alexi Burov, and he's in Moscow."

"Curtis said that the energy wave that destroyed Earth-2 can be replicated, which means we can weaponize it," I said.

"And right before he went off the grid, Burov was working on plans for a weapon called the pulse wave generator," William said.
