"(Y/N), wake up." Chase whispered softly. I groaned, and slowly opened my eyes. Chase was right next to me, chained up. "How did you-" "It's not a true love story unless they struggle together!" Justin sang. "L-Love story?!" I stuttered, "We don't like each other l-like that!" Justin chuckled, "Awe! That's adorable. You two don't even know that you're in love with each other!" Chase's face went red as he turned away from me, hiding his blush. "Let's play a game!" Justin cheered. I glared at him as he smiled at Chase. "I'm going to ask Chase a couple of questions. Every time he lies, (Y/N) will get punished for it. In a painful way, might I add." Justin yanked a knife from his pocket and grabbed my already blemished arm, "Let's begin!" I could tell Chase felt uneasy about this, I was to. "Question one. Who is Stacy?" Justin asked. Chase's face went blank, "I don't know who your talking about-" "Wrong!" Justin sang, pushing the knife onto my skin and dragging it. Blood dripped onto the knife, the floor, and down my arm. I winced quietly, biting my lip and turning away from the pain. "Stacy is my Ex-Wife." Chase blurted quickly. Justin smiled in success, "Next question. Why did you two get divorced?" "We lost the feeling-" "Wrong again!" Justin cut my arm three more times. "Just tell the truth dammit! Please!" I begged. "She ended up cheating on me because I fell into a depressed state!" Chase cried, "I wasn't happy with Stacy anymore." "Last question." Justin smirked deviously, "Do you have feelings for (Y/N)?" Chase went silent. Dead silent, I don't think he was even breathing. "Now that's sad." Justin stood up and shoved the knife back into his pocket, still holding onto my arm, "Can't even tell the girl you HATE her." He shoved my body into the boiler, burning my shoulder, and mid back. I didn't move, I couldn't. The blood loss, starvation, the insanity had me weaker than before. Chase was the one to pull me away from it. "I'll be back for round two, Chase. You two play nice." Justin waved goodbye and shut the basement door. My cut and bleeding arms stung as the dirt from the ground entered them, but I didn't care. I had lost all hope. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw an axe. Barely out of my reach. I could use it to break the chains. Or end myself. Would Justin let Chase go if I died? I turned to Chase, connecting our eyes. "You're going to get out of here." I whispered. He gave me a confused look, "What do you mean?" "I'm not going to let you die here, Chase." I cried softly, "You have a life to get to-" "And so do you." He added, "We're going to get out of this together." I shook my head, "No, Chase, no. I can't do this anymore. Justin will let you go if-"  "I'm not leaving without you." He smiled.

Later that day, Justin came in and uncuffed Chase, and gave him the chance to leave. He declined, He said that he wouldn't leave with out me. Instead, Justin chained him up again, but by his ankles with some longer chains. At that point, I didn't understand why. As soon as Justin left, Chase ran if fingers through my dirty hair, "I'll never leave you, I promise." I turned away, "You had the chance to be free, and you blew it." Chase glared at me, "We're in this together. We're going to leave, together." A muffled knock came from the front door, a following of quick footsteps, and then a squeaking door. Suddenly, there were many movements, a large thud, then silence. The basement door began to jiggle and it soon opened, revealing Robin. "Oh hey." Chase chuckled calmly. Robin rolled his eyes and began to uncuff us with the keys he stole from Justin. "Where's Justin?" I asked quickly. "Knocked him out upstairs. The police are on the way, but we need to get you both to the hospital, and quick." Robin replied. We all rushed upstairs and Chase and Robin escaped. Before I could flee,  a sudden pain hit my back, right in the middle. I tumbled onto the floor, but yet I couldn't feel the pain. Justin stood there smiling like a madman as his hands shook, gun still in hand. I grunted as I tried to crawl to the door, but Justin slammed his foot into my ankle, "Where do you think you're going?" "Chase!" I weakly screamed. Justin quickly picked me up and put the gun to my temple just as Chase and Robin ran back in. "Don't move. Or I'll shoot her." Justin chuckled. I felt my blood run down my back from my wounds, I couldn't stand from my ankle. "Please Justin." Chase cried, "She's going to die if we don't get her to the hospital right now. Please let her go, and you can have me instead." "Chase, no." I gulped. Justin kissed my cheek and pushed me towards Chase, making me fall in his arms, "You need to be back by midnight." Anger filled my body. I yelled in rage as I shoved Justin to the ground, knocking the gun from his hand. Painfully, I stood above him and pointed the gun at his forehead. Police sirens filled my ears. "Go on, Doll. Shoot me." Justin smirked. Chase pulled me away and took the gun from my hands, "Robin, help her. Make sure she's the first one the ambulance takes." Robin picked me up bridal style just as the police rolled up, the ambulances trailing behind them. My eyelids became heavy, I was falling asleep. Would I wake up?

~Chase Brody's Perspective~

I nervously tapped my foot as I waited in the waiting room. It was stressful. I've been waiting for three hours, and I haven't heard anything from the doctors about (Y/N)'s surgery. All I know is that the bullet was right on her spine, and that they needed to remove it quickly. Along with that, her ankle was completely messed up. It was going to be a while before she can walk on it again. God. She didn't deserve any of this, she's just a girl! A 19 year-old girl that just wants a normal life. Maybe all of this was my fault. Maybe Justin did this because of me. "Chase Brody?" A nurse called. I quickly stood up, to fast in fact- I almost fell over. "Follow me." She said simply.

"How is she?" I asked the doctor. "Are you the boyfriend? She said she had a boyfriend here, his name was Chase Brody." "I'm Chase, but I'm not her boyfriend. I'm her roommate, my friend Robin came with her." I explained. The doctor nodded and showed me (Y/N)'s x-rays, "See here? That's the bullet. It barely touched the spine, so she'll recover perfectly fine. Her ankle." He showed me another x-ray, "It's going to take a while- a year at the most- for it to fully recover. We'll give her crutches and a wheelchair to help her get around. She needs to try and stay off of it." I nodded slowly, "She'll be alright." I muttered.
