Without Chase, I struggled to sleep at night. My mind was fighting the nightmares, and I was loosing. My body ached from the sleepless nights, and my eyes stung from dryness. I didn't even want to close my eyes. Chase thought I was recovering...but it anything, I'm getting worse. I haven't slept correctly in a while... . I secretly looked over at Chase, who was laughing with Robin, beer in hand. I smiled to myself, at least he got his drinking under control. Ever since I met Chase, it's almost like my life got worse...way worse. I love Chase! But, everything seemed like it was falling out of place. I was kidnapped my Justin because of him, and once again I was too. But Chase was also the one that saved me from all of this. I couldn't be so hard on him, he's had a tough life. And he's really trying! Chase caught my glaze, giving me a small smirk. He's adorable. "So you two are finally together?" Robin grinned playfully. I nodded gently as Chase wrapped an arm around my waist. Robin leaned against the counter, "About time." I giggled quietly and tiredly leaned onto Chase, but I didn't let it show. "Thanks for coming again!" Robin gently patted Chase's back and waltzed into the living, where other friends had gathered. It was a small social gathering...a house warming party I guess. Robin had bought a house and let Chase keep the apartment. Which was kind. Chase gently kissed my cheek and rubbed my back gently, "You doing okay...? You seem kinda quiet lately... ." I stared at him for a second, but then connected my eyes with the ground, "Y-Yeah. I'm fine. Just been thinking a lot lately." He nodded knowingly. A wave of dizziness suddenly ran over my body, my eyes trying to flutter closed. "Do you know where the bathroom is at?" I asked quickly. Chase pointed down one of the hallway leading off of the living, "Second door to your right." I quickly shoved my way through people that gathered in throughout the house, slamming the bathroom door behind me.  I rested my shaky hands on the sink rim, my eyes looking downward. Moisture suddenly hit my lip, looking up...blood dripped from my nose, down to my lip. With a trembling hand, I wiped the crimson liquid away and steady my breathing. You're okay. You're fine. It's just the room, it's just all the people. I grabbed some toilet paper and wiped away the blood. I washed my face with some water, gave myself a little smile in the mirror, and set out to find Chase again. As I was pushing my way through the crowd, someone caught my arm. Fear surged through my body as I turned to the unknown character. It was just Mark. "Are you okay...?" He asked gently, "You don't look so good." I nodded gently and gestured to the room full of people, "It's just hard to breath with all these people." He grabbed my hand pulled me out to the backyard, where we both sat down in the grass together. I let out a shaky sigh, the awkward silence falling between us. "So..." Mark stared  at me intently, "Are you recovering okay?" I shrugged and answered truthfully, "Could be better, I guess." Suddenly, Mark's palm was resting in my cheek, a blush invading my face as I stared at him. "You didn't deserve to get kidnapped." "Happens to the best of us..." I stated shyly. He stared into my (E/C) eyes for a moment before removing his hand from my face. "I should go find Chase, he's probably worried sick about me." I rushed back into the house and into the kitchen. It was completely empty. I sighed in relief and brought my hand up to where he touched it...it tingled. I felt a blush come onto my face as I thought about his eyes, his strong jaw, his muscles... I shook my head to clear it, I'm with Chase now! And he makes me extremely happy. "Love!" Chase called, "I've been looking for you everywhere." He wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my forehead. He suddenly pulled away, "You're warm...are you feeling alright?" I smiled weakly, "I was actually just about to head home. I was going to tell you." He walked me out to my car, holding hands as we walked down the driveway. "I'll talk to you later." I muttered as he pulled me into embrace. From the corner of my eye, I notice Mark, bottle in hand. He looked sad. I cocked my head to the side at him, but he only walked away. What are you hiding Mark...?
Our hands were connected as he walked down the street, swinging Olivia between us with our arms. She kept giggling, "Again! Again!" Chase smiled at her and obeyed. After that, he placed Olivia on his shoulders and pulled me closer to his chest. "It's beautiful out, huh?" I asked. He looked down on me and smiled warmly, "It's very beautiful out." A man suddenly passed us, bumping into my body as he glared at us. "Can we help you?" Chase asked calmly. But the man kept walking. "Hey! I'm taking to you!" Chase shouted, pulling Olivia off his shoulders. Suddenly, another man ran by, scooping Olivia into his arms and taking off with her. Chase and I looked at each other for a split second, then started running at full speed towards her captures. We are going to get her, I kept thinking, she's going to be fine. Chase sprinted forward, he was faster than I ever could be. And it was his daughter we were chasing. "Stop!" Chase screamed at the men. One held a gun to Olivia's head, while the other held a knife to his side. "We don't want any trouble." I announced, "We just want our daughter, and we'll go." Tears fell down Livy's face as she stared at us, her brown curls sticking to her face. She was deathly afraid. The man chuckled, "What are you going to do if I pull this trigger...?" Chase and I stared in silence, what were we going to do? "Hey! I'm talking to you!" They mocked. Chase swung his hands at the man with the gun. BANG. Olivia fell to the ground as blood leaked from her temple, all emotions leaving her beautiful blue eyes. "No!" Chase screamed. The man with the knife plunged the knife into Chase's abdomen. Panic flooded through my body as I fell down at their sides. "No. Please no." I cried. Chase's eyes glazed over with death...they're dead. Gone. Erased completely. "It's my fault..."
