I began restless, tossing and turning in the dark of night, sleep the last thing possible for me. Chase's restful face almost kept my mind at ease...but Justin always came flooding back into my memory, always making me shudder in fear. Chase would occasionally wake up to check on me, but I pretended to sleep. I didn't want him to worry anymore than he has. When he did wake up, he'd sigh happily and run a hand through my hair, plant a kiss on my cheek, then drift off into sleep again. It was nice having someone sleep next to me. Olivia was just down the hall sleeping in a guest bedroom. She seems like a good kid, and I think she likes me. I tossed once more, then I finally fed up. I threw the duvet gently off of my body and quietly stormed out of the bedroom. It was only five in the morning, and if Chase was wondering why I was up, I can just tell him that it was my sleep schedule at the manor. I made myself some coffee (or hot tea) and leaned against the cold counter. My body shivered, but I couldn't tell if it was from fear or the coldness of the room. "(Y/N)?" Olivia tiredly rubbed her eyes, slightly stumbling around, "Why are you up?" I smiled gently at her and set my cup down, "I was just getting a refreshment. And what are you doing up?" She shrugged and jumped up on the stool at the counter, "I just woke up, and I was hungry." I smiled gently at her and pulled a small container from the back of the closet, "Well, lucky for you, I have a secret collection. And I only share it with the people I like." I noticed as her eyes lit up once they landed on the frosted covered animal crackers. I smiled as she chewed softly on the cookies. "Don't tell dad." I giggled. "Speaking of my dad." Olivia licked her sticky fingers, "Are you two together?" Were we together? "I saw you kiss him earlier." She smirked. "Olivia Maria Brody, were you being a little snoop?" I teased. She sighed and dramatically threw her hands in the air, "You guys are adorable!" I rolled my eyes playfully and ruffled her brown hair, "You're adorable." She awkwardly swung in her feet as she bit her cheek, "If you're with my dad long enough, are you going to have a baby with him?" I know that it was a simple question, but it really had me thinking. Did I really want to try for another kid...? I smiled gently at her, "Maybe, I don't know yet, sweetie." "My dad told me that a bad man hurt you, and that it was going to be hard to have babies." She stated softly. I nodded and shoved the hair from my face, "It's true, but it doesn't mean I'm not going to try again. I love your dad-" "My daddy has a girlfriend now!" Olivia squealed. I covered her mouth and slightly giggled to myself. Chase waltzed into the kitchen, tiredly rubbing his eyes, "Livy...what's going on? Why are you screaming?" Olivia smiled at us brightly, "Dad, you've got a girlfriend!" Chase's eyes widened as he looked at me, awkwardly scratching the back of his neck, "Is that what we are...?" I blushed and nodded gently, biting my lip softly. He seemed to smile a little bit as he looked sweetly into my eyes. "Livy, I think you should get to bed. You're going to need it, you have school tomorrow." She huffed, but returned to her room shortly. I turned to Chase and let out a sigh, "If we're going to be together, I need to know everything about her." He gave be a confused smile, sitting next to me at the counter. "Stacy." I mumbled quietly. His smile dropped as he ran a hand through his stubble and sighed, rubbing his face. "She was 15 when we met. She was by far the most beautiful, sweet, and caring girl I've ever met. Being in high school and all, I hadn't seen again better." He started, "We started talking, and one day. She came to my house. Things got out of hand, and things happened...like what happened with us." "Why did you do it?" I asked quickly. "For one, she said she was on birth control, so I didn't wear a condom, and I didn't have any because I wasn't expecting it to happen." Chase answered truthfully. He then ran a shaky hand through his brown hair, " She was pregnant, and I stayed with her through the whole thing. Once she turned 16, we got married for Olivia. My parents helped pay for a little, then I got a good earning job, I was a detective." "What happened? Weren't you two happy?" I mumbled. "She was using the marriage and the baby for money. She soon took me to court and sued me. I lost my job, and I was pushed out of my house. She took everything. The money, my home...my child." He quickly wiped his tears and huffed, clearing this throat, "Robin helped out, and I started YouTube as a little hobby while I worked at some office. YouTube was going good, and it's now my actual job." I sympathetically rubbed his back as he tried to wipe the tears away, only to have no avail. "And Olivia has been through so much. I just wish she had a better childhood!" He cried weakly. I quickly pulled him into an embrace as I ran my fingers through his hair. I've never seen him like this, I've never see him so emotional. He really cares about Olivia. He pulled away and wiped his nose with his hand, "I'm sorry that you have to see me like this. I'm not usually this weak." "Your not weak, Chase. It's okay to worry about your children, it shows that you care." I whispered gently. He caressed my cheek and softly pulled me into a kiss. I kissed him back and wrapped my arms around his snake as his arms snaked around my waist. I loved this. I loved him.
