"I'm so sorry!" I giggled, hanging my purse onto the chair, then siting down afterwards. "Don't worry about it, sweets." The smooth talking British man said, "I understand why you're always late." I playfully rolled my eyes and hungrily looked through the menu, "What are we getting?" He smiled and lowered my menu, "I already ordered your favorite. I knew you both would be hungry when you got here." I sighed happily, "God I love you, James." James leaned over and gently kissed my cheek. I sipped my orange juice and smiled at my boyfriend. "How far along are you, dear?" He asked. I rested a hand on my stomach, "Only four weeks, and no. The father doesn't know." "I'm telling you, you should move to London with me, we can start a life there. You, the baby, and me." James explained. "I can't just leave Chase, James. He doesn't know that this baby is his, let alone exist." I reasoned. James bit his lip and nodded, "You're right." "James, we've gone over this before-" "I know, I know. You're right! You're pregnant, and you've got a life here, but London offers so many more jobs and schooling." James stated. I rolled my eyes and ran a hand through my hair, "I don't want to leave Chase." James stared at me, "Chase? Really?" I sighed and grabbed my purse, "I'm not doing this, James. You either shut up, or learn to deal with it." "Dear. I'm sorry, please don't be like this." He apologized. "Can you drop the food off at my apartment? I'm tired and my feet are killing me." I lied. He nodded slowly and kissed my cheek.
I placed my keys onto the dining table, throwing my purse onto it afterwards. I didn't even sit down and someone was already knocking on the door. "James, I haven't even been gone for an hour. Drop it off later." They continued to knock. "James! Come by later!" More knocking. Anger filled my body as I swung open the front door, but to my surprise, it was Chase. I awkwardly leaned against the doorway, "Mr. Brody. What's up?" He shrugged, "You've been ignoring me, and I finally want to know why. For two months straight, you've been hanging with Robin, that James dude, and everyone but me. What did I do?" "You haven't done anything, it's just me. And I'm not ingoring you, it's just that I've been busy-" "Babe! I know that the baby is making you all mood swingy, but I didn't mean to..." James stopped as he noticed Chase. Chase turned to me, confused, "Baby? You're pregnant?" James began to back away, "Maybe I should go." "You both should go." I growled. As I began to shut the door, Chase shoved it back open, "Whose the father? James?" "The father doesn't know." I huffed, "He's been out of my life for a while, so it doesn't matter. Now leave, and don't come back. Please." My voice began to break. "What happened to us? I thought you were happy living with me. I drink one night and you change on me-" "You don't even know what happened." I snapped, "Now leave before I call the cops." "(Y/N). What happened that night?" He pushed further. Did he really want to know? What was it going to change anyways. "You told me you loved me. Then you kissed me. I couldn't tell if you meant it, but then you carried me to the bedroom and we-." I stuttered. "When were you going to tell me?" He asked sweetly. "I couldn't remember the night, it was like I was drugged. I still can't remember it." My voice quivered badly, "I didn't want you to be mad, or blame me." "It's my baby, isn't it?" He asked suddenly. I stared at him, my voice caught in my throat. Do I lie? What do I tell him? Realization hit his face. Chase bit his lip and nodded slowly, "Alright, got it. Don't want to tell me? Fine." Chase turned away, "When I said that I loved you, I meant it."
I know that this isn't healthy. For me, or the baby. I can't keep doing this. Just one more.
I groaned loudly, the morning sun waking me up. I leaned up, but winced as the pain came back to my inner thighs. Why do I do this to myself. I angrily shut the blinds and crawled back into bed. Just as I was about to fall asleep, a knock came from the front door. Once again, I threw off the duvet and marched to the front door, swinging it open. "Woah." James smiled, "I won't ever get used to seeing that." I rolled my eyes, "What do you want?" "Hey, don't get an attitude. Just because you're pregnant, doesn't mean you can get an attitude with me." He growled. I scoffed, but before I could do anything else, James aggressively gabbed my face, squishing my cheeks. I tried to pull away but his grip became even tighter. "Do I need to teach you a lesson? Hm? Do you need another round?" His dark chuckle filled my ears as fear struck through my body. I don't want to do that again. "No." I said simply. James narrowed his eyes, scaring me even more. "No, master." I corrected. James smiled and released me, "I'll be by later. And don't try to run again, you know that never works." I nodded and shut the door after he left. I can't do that again, I'm still sore from the last time. Panicked, I grabbed my phone and dailed a number, my voice trembling with every word that left my lips, "I need to talk, now."
"So, you know it's mine for sure?" Chase asked, playing with the plastic cup in his pale hands. I nodded slowly. Chase bit his lip and ran a shaky hand threw his hair, "What are you going to do with it?" "I'm planning on putting it up for adoption. James is to dangerous to be around-" "Dangerous? How is he dangerous?" He chuckled. My voice was caught in my throat as I stared at him, "I'm not allowed to tell. " Seriousness set into Chase's face, "Then show me." "What?" "Show me what he does to you." He demanded sweetly. I gently grabbed his hand and pulled him to the coffee shop bathroom, locking the door behind me. I moved my hair to the side, showing hickeys, they were a deep red. "That's horrible-" I shushed him and lifted up my shirt, showing off the bruises and scratches. "How does he bruise you like this?" Chase quietly asked. "When h-he gets angry, he bites really h-hard to punish me. He thinks that if he hurts me enough that I'll loose the baby." I cried softly, yet I didn't let the tears slip. He rested a hand on my stomach, gently running his hand over the bruises, warming my cool skin. I noticed the tears build in his eyes as he left my hand on my lower abdomen, that's where the baby laid. Chase quickly blinked them away and straightened his back, "What are you going to do about him?" "I don't know." I replied honestly, "He's coming over tonight to teach me a l-lesson." Chase cocked his head to the side in confusion. "Sexual punishment." I answered quickly. "Run away with me, (Y/N)." Chase whispered distantly. His head perked up, "Run with me! I have a friend in LA and we can stay there. We can grow up with this baby, and you don't have to worry about James." "You can't leave Olivia, Chase. She's your daughter." I reminded, "And James will find me. He always does." "I'm bringing Olivia. I won the case, I have complete custody of her. Stacy was abusing her, and I won!" He cheered, "I've told her so much about you, and she wants to meet you. I'll plan everything out. James will never find you. I won't let it happen."
