"Chase no! No no no! Please no!" I screamed as I wrapped my fingers around his shoulder, "Stay with me! You're going to be fine!" Chase choked, red blood then spilling from his throat, "Y-You really think so?" I gripped tighter onto his shoulder and rested a hand on his cheek, "Don't leave me..." He smiled and weakly caressed my face, wiping away the tears with it, "I'm not going anywhere, okay?" I looked up from his dying body, staring into the empty street, "Someone is going to help..." I mumbled to myself, "You're going to be fine." He pulled my face down to his and kissed my lips gently, "Make sure our baby is healthy, alright?" "S-Stop...." I whimpered, "Stop talking like that. You're going to be fine." I looked down at his glass-ridden torso, the shards deeply cutting in his skin as blood poured out. I pushed onto his chest, panicking. Chase pushed my hands away, "Just s-stop. It's not going to work, Love." He looked at our bloodied wedding rings, he smiled softly, "I love you so much." "Chase, stop-" "No, shut up, and listen." He playfully interrupted, "I'm so happy I got to spend my life with you. I'm glad I got to wake up next to you, and hold your hand, and kiss you." He coughed blood, "I'm glad you're the last thing I see. And I know I'm making this cringy...but it's the truth. I love you so much, with every fiber of my body. Promise me to take care of yourself, okay? That's all I want. I want you, and our baby to be happy and healthy." I bit my lip and nodded gently, then leaning down to kiss his forehead, in which he smiled. "I love you so much more..."
"This is a wonderful baby shower, (Y/N). " Max smiled. I smiled back at her and looked around the room, "Thank Robin. He planned the whole thing." "Are we ready to cut cake and find the gender?!" Robin called from the kitchen. Max helped me up from the couch, due to the fact that I was 20 weeks and my belly was practically exploding. I gave her an embarrassing smile and waddled into the kitchen, where my fiancé wrapped an arm around my waist and gently kissed my temple. Family and friends gathered around the table, anxiously watching the gender reveal cake in the center. "You did a wonderful job on this cake, mom." I smiled. She nodded and nudged my dad, "We're about to find the gender of our first grandchild. And we're going to spoil it!" Chase placed a knife into our hands, they were clearly shaking. We cut down, everyone started to giggle and get excited. We cut again, and everyone held their breaths. "It's definitely a girl." Olivia mumbled. I closed my eyes and gently lifted the slice, everyone jumping into joy. I could hear Chase crying in joy. I slowly opened my eyes. Blue. The cake was blue. We're having a boy. I stood in shock, my eyes wide and face emotionless. Chase gave me a worried look, "Love? Are you okay?" "We're having a baby..." I mumbled, "An actual baby." I closed my eyes and covered my mouth, I can't breath. Panicked, Chase wrapped his arms around my waist, "(Y/N). Just breath, okay?" My parents gave me worried glances as they placed their hands on my shoulders, rubbing them gently with their thumbs. "Excuse me..." I quietly pleaded, then pushing past them, and throwing myself into the bathroom, puking into the toilet. I huffed and weakly held my head with a shaking hand. A baby. A quiet knock announced itself as Chase stepped into the bathroom, shutting the door behind him, "Are you feeling alright, Darling?" "Yeah, yeah. I'm f-fine. Just go back out to the party." I mumbled. "You're not okay." He sat next to me and ran a hand through my hair, "What's wrong?" "I can't be a mom." I simply stated, "I just can't..." "Why are you saying this now? You're five months into this pregnancy, and you've been doing great!" My fiancé smiled, "You haven't had any complications, the baby is developing perfectly, and you're -well...were- handling everything well. Why the sudden change?" I scoffed and rested a hand on my forehead, "This is a actual baby! An actual human growing inside of me! I have to give birth to him, I don't know how! I have to change his diaper, I don't know how! I have to-" "Shut up." Chase demanded, "Shut up and relax." He repositioned himself on the floor and grasped onto my hands, "We are in this together. You're not having a baby by yourself. You have me, and our parents, and plenty of friends. You're not alone."
