Chase and I scrolled through the web pages, writing down numbers and addresses. Olivia was outside, playing at a nearby park as Robin supervised her. "Oh, I like that one." I pointed out. Chase quickly scoffed, "That's small! How can we grow in that?" "Chase." I argued, "Two bedroom, two bath. It's perfect for Olivia and us." He shook his head in disapproval, "I want a bigger house, that place is barely bigger than your apartment." I groaned and leaned back into my seat, this is a nightmare. For a couple of days now, Chase and I have been looking at houses. We decided it'd be a good time to move into a bigger house, since things were getting serious with Chase and I. He suddenly lightly hit my thigh, "Look! Look at this one!" I jerked my head up and looked at the screen, a four bedroom and three bath house. It looked like your average, perfect, family home. White walls, a patio, and a red door. There were other good factors, like a fairly large back yard, and a garage. "Also! It's close to Olivia's school, and it's close to the parks." Chase added. "I love it..." I happily muttered, "I think that's our house." Chase excitedly clapped his hands and grabbed his phone, "I have a call to go make." I watched as Chase rushed into my bedroom and shut the door behind him, then a sudden sick feeling rushed through my belly. I groaned quietly and rested my head on the counter, holding my sick stomach. "Mom!" Olivia called. My head perked up at her voice, causing me to run to her. Opening the door, there she stood with something in her arms. Olivia was covered in mud and grass, but she still continued to smile as she held the animal, "He was stuck in the mud!" In her arms, was a puppy, probably around 5 months old. He was a German Shepard, and he was skinny, shaking from the December cold. I panicked and grabbed the muddy pup, "Olivia, how about you go ask your Daddy for a change of clothes, I'm going to get him cleaned up. I brought the puppy into the kitchen, gently placing him in the sink as I ran warm water over him. I gave him a sad frown, who would do this to something so young? "Babe, why was Olivia so-" Chase stopped in the middle of his sentence once he noticed the soapy puppy in my sink. Chase's eyes began to sparkle, "Is that a puppy?" I giggled, "No Chase, it's a dinosaur." Chase was immediately at my side, cooing at the puppy as he helped to wash it's black coat. "Olivia found him somewhere at the park. Poor thing was stuck in the mud." We both dried the puppy, and Olivia grabbed some leftovers to feed him. "I'm going to name you...Avery." Olivia mumbled as she petted the puppy, watching him eat. "Olivia, honey, I don't know-" "That's a beautiful name, sweetheart." I cut off Chase and tightly held his hand, "We'll have to go to the store and get Avery some food and toys." Chase gave me a cold look, pulling me aside into another room. He shut the door behind us, "Really? A puppy? Now? We're trying to get a house-" "It's just a pet for Livy. She gets lonely when you're working, at least she'll have someone to play with." I stated politely. Chase pondered, but then nodded in agreement, "Okay...okay, okay. You're right. She can keep the puppy-" "Daddy!" Olivia called, "Can I take Avery on a walk?" I smiled gently at Chase, "Why don't you take her and Avery to go get some stuff, I'll stay home." He choked his head to the side, gently grabbing my hand, "Are you feeling okay? Normally you're up for an adventure." "I'm not feeling well, "I smiled weakly, "Just try to hurry back, okay? We've got to go to that open house thing."

"And this house is perfect for house parties or big families." The owner introduced. Olivia and Avery ran through the house, going up and down the stairs as Avery happily yipped behind her. I smiled brightly and leaned onto Chase, "It's a very bright home. Lots of windows, plenty of space, large backyard." "How old is this home?" Chase happily asked. The man leaned against the wall and crossed his arms over his chest, "Oh, it's only 5 years old. My wife and I wanted to have some children, but...something came up, and it was impossible." I gave the young man a sad frown, "I'm so sorry about that, Mr.Owens." He shrugged softly, "Whatever happens, happens." Mr. Owens cleared his throat, "I'll go grab your paperwork, then the house is yours." The man left back outside to retrieve the papers. I squealed, jumping onto Chase, "We're getting a house! An actual house! Not an apartment, a house!" Chase chuckled and squeezed me tighter against his chest, "I know, I know. It's exciting!" He gave me a sweet kiss on my lips, resting his hands on my waist. I pulled away and rested my hands on his chest, smiling widely, "I can't wait for this adventure."
