Chapter 42

Few years later.......

Veronica POV

"How many times should I repeat? I don't know where he is!" I shouted at the hologram of Ross.

"Dr. Booth, Vision is offline. Cap is considered a criminal because he helped outbreak the other criminals" he said.

"Do not call them that! It was you who made them that. If not them, our world would be destroyed by now" I shouted. 

"Doctor, you signed the Accords. You are suppose to give me answers"

"I DON'T HAVE ANY!" I said at the top of my voice. He looked at me with a blank face.

"Sir, I came here just two days before. Vision went under a week ago. I...don't ...know .....where....Steve is. Trust me, I would be the first person to know it" I said and breathed heavily due to the shouting.

"I'll talk to you later Doctor" he said and the hologram disappeared. I leaned on the bench and felt a hand on my back.

"You good?" Rodney asked. I nodded. "That guy is the death of me" I said. He chuckled.

"It's been two days since your arrival. We should tell Tony" he said.

"No, no...after a long time, he's back with Pepper. I don't wanna ruin it. I came cause I needed few of papers for my lectures" I said.

"From a spy, to an avenger saving the world..and now you are taking lectures" he said.

"Life moves on..." I said. He placed a hand on my shoulder. "Good to see you again Ronnie"

"You too, Rodes"

"I'm going for a walk. I'll be back in an hour" I said. He nodded. I went to my room to get my shoes.

The room looked exactly the same. Though the entire place was renovated. I was trying my shoes when I heard a strange sound behind me.

As I turned, I saw a person coming out from a portal. I fell back on the bed, shocked.

"Doctor, I need your help" he said. I looked confused not able to getting the words out of my mouth.

He looked like a wizard. Wearing a cape and what looked like a cloak.

"I know it's a bit dramatic, but I'm terribly in need of your assistance. So do they" he said. I slowly stood up.

"Who?" I asked. "Us" I heard a voice and Bruce came out through the magical portal.

"Bruce" I said. He rushed forward and hugged me. As he did, Tony came out through the Portal.

"Tony?,..what is this? What's happening?" I asked totally confused. "Yeah, don't ask me. They pulled me out, just like this. You came here, and you didn't tell me?" He added.

I went to talk when the wizard spoke up. "I am happy about the reunion. But we have something to do. So if you please" he said directing us towards his portal.

I looked at Tony and Bruce. "I'll explain" Bruce said. I slowly walked inside the Magical Ring only to enter into what looked like a place definitely where magicians live.

There was also another wizard who looked like he had Asian origin. "Welcome to the New York Sanctum" he said.

I turned and looked around the three men, which just came through the portal. Tony walked forward and gave me a hug.

I looked over Bruce. "Bruce, what is happening?" I asked. He looked in panic.

"Thanos is coming"
