Nick was in the hospital. I was watching him getting treated when Romanoff came and stood beside me.
"Is he gonna make it?" She asked. "I don't know" I said worried.
"Tell me about the shooter" she said. "He's fast and strong. Had a metal arm" just then Agent Hill joined us. "Ballistics?" Romanoff asked.
"Three slugs, no rifling. Completely untraceable" Hill answered. "Soviet made?" Romanoff asked. "Yeah" Hill responded.
"Did Ronnie tell you?" I asked. "She texted me that she is leaving to London" she replied. "We must tell her" Hill said. "I've been trying. I couldn't even get the line" I replied.
"They must have cut her communications" Nat said. Suddenly we see Fury deteriorating. "He's in V tach" the male nurse shouted. "Crash cart coming in" the other nurse said.
We saw the Doctor's doing whatever they could to save him.
"Don't do this to me Nick" Romanoff whispered. They gave him shock. "Pulse?!" The doctor asked. "Negative" the nurse replied. All three of bus watch as they try to revive Fury. But he was flatlining.
I turned around not wanting to see more. But I could hear them pronouncing his death. I looked at the flash drive in my hand.
Fury is dead. "We need you here, Ronnie" I said thinking about her. She must know what is happening here. I made my way out.

Veronica POV
That was a stupid meeting. The Council didn't even try going through the reports. I just answered the various questions put forth. All questions which I've answered in the meeting when the project was started.
This was definitely an excuse to get me out. I tried calling Nat or Steve but my phone is dead of trying to call them.
I got ready for my flight back .I opened my room door to out when I found and agent standing right there. Now they are spying me.
"Dr. Booth, I've been informed that your flight got cancelled. So you will take the next flight" he said. "And that would be? " I asked.
"Afternoon" he replied. I narrowed my eyes at him. I shut my door and walked inside the room throwing my scarf. This is not at all good!
"Steve...what the hell is happening?" I wispered.

Steve POV
Me and Romanoff were near Fury's body. I could sense her crying. Hill joined us.
"I need to take him" she said. I go over to Romanoff. "Natasha" I tried. She didn't respond. She tenderly touched Fury's head . She turns around and walks out. "Natasha!" I shouted following her.
"Why was Fury in your apartment?" She asked in anger. "I don't know" I replied. "Where is Ronnie? We need her!" She said. "I've been trying to call her" I responded. Rumlow interrupted us.
"Cap, they want you back at SHIELD" He said. "Yeah, give me a second" I said. "They want you now" he said stubbornly.
