Chapter 44

Steve POV

I got the call. It has been in the news. The disappearance of Tony Stark. And I knew something big was happening.

I stood behind the moving train in the shadows. Once the train went away. I noticed a spear coming at me.

I dodged and caught it and came into the light. Wanda looked at me with relief.

Sam flew in and kicked one of the creatures and shot small missiles at the other one.

Nat came into the radar and fought with one when I threw the spear at her. She caught it, hit the creature and stabbed it with the spear.

The creature growled in pain. He use his weapon at her as she dodged it and kicked him. The spear from out of her hand and went towards it's owner.

She aimed it at Nat. I rolled in and took her own weapons to stop her. Now both me and Nat were fighting her ceaseless when Sam came in flying kicking her beside the other fallen creature.

She scooted near him. "Get up" she said. "I can't" he replied in pain. We stood in front of them.

"We don't wanna kill you. But we will" Nat said. The lady looked at us. She had horns on her head from her face, grey eyes.

"You will never get the chance again" she spat when a bright light shined above us pulling both the creatures up. The spear in my hand flew too.

We looked up as the spaceship flew away and ten went to help Wanda and Vision.

"Can you stand?" Sam asked as he helped him up. Vision looked up at me. "Thank you, Captain"

I nodded. "Let's get you on the jet" I said as we booted up in the quinjet.

"I thought we had a deal. Check in. Don't take any chances" Nat said as she closed the ramp.

"I'm sorry. We just wanted time" Wanda apologized.

"Where to Cap?" Sam asked me. Something was indeed coming. And it was our duty to stop it.

"Home"

We entered our Avengers base. Me and Nat walked in with Sam, Vision and Wanda at the back of us.

We looked on to see Rodney talking with the Hologram of Ross. I walked forward and Rodney noticed our arrival.

"Mr. Secretary" I said as the hologram walked forward. "You got some nerves, I'll give you that" he said.

"You could use some of that right now" Nat commented. Ross looked at me.

"The world is on fire......and you think all is forgiven" he said. I made an eye contact with him.

"I'm not looking for forgiveness. I'm way past that....Earth just lost it's best defender. So we are here to fight" I walked a bit forward.

"And if you want to stand in our way. We'll fight you too" I said. He looked at me in full anger. He turned around towards Rodney.

"Arrest them" he ordered. "All over it" he swipes his hand and the holograms disappear.

"That's a court martial" he said as we entered in. "It's great to see you,Cap" he said extending his hand. I gave a smile and took it.

"You too, Rodney" I said as gave gave him a hug.

"Well you guys look like crap. Must've been a rough couple of years" he said. We chuckled.

"Yeah, well the hotels weren't excatly five star" Sam commented.
