Missions were a definite no now. Even if you were stupid enough to want to do them, no one would let you. They all seemed to take the news better than you and Steve did and you were thankful for that.
Instead, whenever everyone was away, you'd prep information for a new mission, or go along with them. Of course you were hidden away in an extremely safe and guarded area but you were the eyes of the team. They needed you.
You knew this baby would be spoiled due to the excitement everyone possessed about it. Nat couldn't wait to be an aunt again and Tony was already buying you all the things you needed. He even offered to move you in to a bigger room but you were happy in the one you were in. Mainly because it was Bucky's room too.
But Steve was the worst. He wouldn't let you carry anything and craving junk food all the time had to be forgotten. It was as if he was the mother.

Stranger things played throughout the tv room as you stuffed your face with chocolate. It was the only room you could have a bit of peace and quiet, especially since you put a warning on the door to tell people not to come in.
Work had been getting hard and not being able to fulfil your cravings made everything so much harder.
But alas, your peace was broken by Steve bursting through the door. "I knew it!" He bellowed and pointed towards the dairy milk in front of you. You groaned and lolled your head back. "You promised me you wouldn't eat the chocolate and yet here you are, breaking promises." He rested his hands on his hips and you decided ignoring his existence might make him go away. "(Y/N)? Are you even listening to me?" As he continued to nag, you grew even more annoyed. "Honestly. It's like talking to a brick wall." He sighed.
"Well, maybe you should take a hint and do one." You growled, turning the tv up. You knew he hated swearing sometimes and didn't want to piss him off. Then mother Steve would take her full form and probably kill you.
He raised his eyebrows in surprise and scoffed. "Well, excuse me for trying to keep your baby healthy." You clenched your jaw and glared at him. He raised his hands in fake surrender and went to sit next to you.
"What do you think you're doing?" He looked at you in confusion.
"Sitting down..." his face scrunched up. You threw a peace of chocolate at him and pointed at the door.
"No. Get out." Steve grew even more confused.
"Why?" Your breathing increased and you had to clench your fists.
"Because I'm very hormonal and you're pissing me off!" Steve's face softened at your words. It took him a minute before getting up and leaving. Not before mumbling a quick apology.
You huffed and rejoiced that you could finally watch your show again.

Meanwhile, Steve felt the opposite of joy. He sulked down the corridors until he ran in to Sam.
"Hey, Cap. You good?" He queried as they passed.
He sighed and shrugged. "I pissed (Y/N) off." He mumbled, looking downwards.
Sams face filled with questioning. He knew you two were close and had never made the other angry before. "Really? What did you do?" Steve sighed again, finally looking at Sam.
"I don't know. I went to see her and she was eating chocolate and then I told her she shouldn't eat it and she sent me away." Sam rolled his eyes and began to walk away. "Where are you going?"
"You'll see." Sam smiled, leaving Steve to sulk some more.
You almost screamed in anguish when someone else knocked on the movie room door. "Read the sign!" You shouted, slouching back in to the chair. Sam opened the door and raised an eyebrow. "Can you not read?" You shrieked, motioning towards it.
He shut the door behind him and sat next to you, wrapping an arm around you. You reluctantly cuddled in to him and carried on watching Dustin try and get Dart out the house. "Why are you mad at Steve?" He finally asked. You had now given up and getting through this episode. You turned the telly off and looked up at Sam.
"Because he's a pretentious ass who thinks he knows everything about mother care." You grumbled.
Same chuckled and got up. "You've really upset him. He was only trying to help." You went to argue but he beat you to it. "He just wants what's best for you, (Y/N). And I know he can get on your nerves sometimes, but he's your best friend." You frowned and pondered on his words as he left.
You can't remember how you found yourself in the gym but that's where you were and most definitely where Steve would be if he was upset.
You were right. He was giving the punching bag the beating of its life. "Hey." You said to get his attention. He turned around immediately and stared at you.
"Hey." He repeated. You walked towards him slowly as you crossed your arms over your chest. "Look I'm sorry for earlier." You waved your arm around so he'd shut up.
"You were only trying to help. I'm sorry for being so mean. Being pregnant isn't exactly a piece of cake." You shrugged, scuffing your feet on the floor.
He shook his head and smiled. "I was being too bossy." You smiled back and finally stood still. "What say we put it behind us and I take you to Benny's?" You gasped at the mention of yours and Steve's favourite diner.
"Yes! Oh my god! Let me go change!" You squealed as you jogged away leaving Steve to laugh to himself. Running couldn't be easy with a small bump holding a three month old foetus, but you still did it anyway.
