*ELI'S POV*
I sat in a chair next to Anna's hospital bed, listening to her heart monitor beep. It had been too long. Three years, two months, a week, and five days. Yet she still hadn't woken up. She hadn't even moved. The doctors had been saying that they'd have to take her off life support soon. That she had almost no chance at this point. But I kept convincing them to push it back more and more. And since I was the only one that visited her, they always agreed. I sighed and clutched Anna's hand in both of mine. The door creaked open and a doctor came in. "Mr. Eli, we're going to have to take her off life support. She's probably gone by now, and there's people who need this room."
"One more week. Please. I know she'll wake up. Just give her one more week." The doctor sighed.
"Just one. That's all." I heard the door swing open and then close as he left. I rested my head on Anna's stomach.
"Anna... I'm so sorry. I'm sorry I didn't get there sooner, I didn't save you... please. I don't deserve it, but I need you to wake up. I need you to be ok. Please wake up, Anna. People need you here. I need you here." Beep. Beep. "Anna..." Beepbeep. Beepbeep. "Please wake up. I... I love you." Beepbeep. Beepbeep. Beepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeep.Beeeeeeeeeeeeeee...
