*ELI'S POV*

I went into the guest room to wake my mom up. I began thinking about kisding Anna on the cheek. Was I moving too fast? Maybe I should've asked first... I should've definitely asked first. Damnit! Why did I have to be so stupid? I was so caught up in my thoughts that I almost collided with my mother. She grabbed my shoulders to steady me. "Whoa there! We almost had a crash! What's up? You look like you've got something on your mind. Want to talk about it?" I shook my head.
"Maybe later. I was just coming to wake you up." She smiled.
"Well, I'm up now. I'm going to the kitchen to make breakfast. I'll call you when it's ready." I nodded, then called out.
"Wait, mom!" She stepped back into view.
     "Yes?" I hesitated.
"Your baby. My future sibling. Who's child is it?" She fell silent, making me fear the worst.
"Mom... is it... his?" I practically spat the word.
"Oh, no, sweetie! Don't worry. I... I kind of met soneone..." I grinned.
"That's great, mom! What's he like?" She smiled softly.
"He's really sweet and caring and kind. I told him about you." I blinked in shock.
"You did?" She ruffled my hair.
"Of course! You're the best thing in my life. He wants to meet you. And he knows about our situation with your father. He offered to get us out and to a safe location."
"Safe location? What do you mean?"
"Far away from your father. He has a beach house in Florida and he said we could have it!" My smile fell.
"Florida? But mom, I can't leave my friends- Anna. I can't leave Anna. She's associated with us now and if my father finds out... He'll hurt her or kill her. I know it."
"Then we'll take her with us. There's enough room."
"Mom, we can't just ask someone to uproot their whole life for us." She patted my knee.
"Think about it, ok?" She left, leaving me with a difficult decision.
