~ONE MONTH LATER~
*ANNA'S POV*
At this point, it's been a whole month since I've cut. It may not seem like much, but I had been addicted, so it's a huge accomplishment for me. I walked into Eli's room and realized he was still asleep. I smirked, evil ideas running through my head. I settled on the least evil and most fun idea. I walked to the door, turned, ran, and jumped on Eli. He didn't move. I became worried and pulled the blankets back. What? There were pillows stuffed under the sheets! As soon as I realized that, I felt something grab my waist from behind and pull me on top of it. I glanced back. "Eli!" He smiled.
"Anna!" I rolled off him and kissed him.
"Guess what today is!" He grinned.
"Has it been a month already?" I nodded.
"Yes!" Eli hugged me tightly.
"Yay! I'm so proud of you! Let's celebrate!"
"How?" He thought for a while.
"Hmm... Let's go out to eat tonight. Anywhere you want. My treat." I smiled, shocked that he would do that for me.
"Eli, you don't have to. I'm perfectly happy staying here." He kissed my cheek.
"I want to though. Wherever you want." I wrapped my arms around Eli.
"I don't want to go anywhere. For my prize of a month without cutting, I want to cuddle all day. We can order pizza or something to eat tonight. Right now, I just want to cuddle." Eli smiled at me.
"Your wish is my command. And I don't have work today, so we really can cuddle all day." I smiled and buried my face in my boyfriend's chest, happy. I felt like I was in paradise. Everything seemed to be looking up, and for a moment, I forgot about the threat posed by Eli's dad. I forgot everything bad, solely focused on my sweetheart that I was able to sleep next to without fear of anything. Sadly, though, all things must come to an end.
