*ANNA'S POV*

Eli and I brought in and began putting away the groceries. As we did so, we chatted about random things, like our time in the hospital and our favorite things. Once we'd put everything in their respective places, we sat on the living room counch. Eli took a deep breath. "Anna... I need to talk to you about something that my mom mentioned to me a while back. I never brought it up until now because... well, truth be told, I'd forgotten about it until she mentioned it on the way to the store. I need you to listen and take this seriously, ok?" I nodded, intrigued and confused as to why Eli was so serious. He continued on after a moment. "So, the baby she's carrying isn't my dad's." I blinked, my mouth falling open slightly. I was taken aback at this information.

"Who's child is it, then, if not your father's?" He ran his hands through his hair.

"Apparently, my mom met soneone. And it's his child. His name is Arthur and from what mom says, he's extremely wealthy. Wealthy enough to have a beach house out in Florida." I smiled.

"Eli, that's great! I'm so happy your mom found someone who can support you guys in every way." He grimaced.

"Yeah, it would be."

"Would be?"

"Well, the reason I mention the beach house is because my mom wants us to move there. Me and her. She said that we could take you with us, but in the car, she expressed her true feelings of not wanting you with us. But I don't care. You're part of the deal. If you don't go, neither do I. And I'm making sure she knows it." I kept quiet, taking everything in. I stood.

"I... I have to go," I mumbled before bolting out the front door and down the street. I didn't know where I was heading, but I knew I needed to get there.
