*ANNA'S POV*
I stared at Eli in pure shock. Did he just say he loved me? But why? My own family didn't even love me, so why would he? How could a complete stranger up until a few days, or weeks, counting the coma time, fall for me? I was thoroughly confused. How did someone who only met me recently love me more than my own family. A thousand questions ran through my mind, but before I could ask any of them, Eli grabbed on to my arm, seemingly to steady himself. I softly touched his hand. "Eli?? Are you okay?" He nodded slowly, but he seemed a million miles away.
"Yeah, I'm good. I just... need to sit down for a bit... Don't worry about me, Anna..." He was clearly short of breath, struggling to speak. I grabbed him, my arms wrapping around his torso as he faltered.
"Eli, you're not okay... You need medical attention. Seriously, please go get help. I'll call them." I led Eli to the bed I had been on and made him lie down. He attempted to push me back, but I easily overpowered him, which worried me. He was strong enough to take on Alex, so he should be able to hold me back, no problem.
"Anna... Wait." I wanted to. I truly wanted to stay with him. But from what Alex told me, Eli would die if I stayed. I had to go. I put my hand on the door, then heard rustling from behind me. I turned. Eli was standing, his hand on the bed to steady himself. "Please... I don't feel good... I..." He fell silent, his eyes rolled back in his head, and he collapsed. I ran out the door and down the hall, screaming for help.
