*ELI'S POV*
I walked into the house. Unlocked. Oh no... "Anna?" No response. "Sweetie?" Still nothing. I ran upstairs and checked all the rooms. Empty. I checked downstairs, but Anna was nowhere to be found. I began panicking. First mom, now my girlfriend? Then, something on the coffee table caught my eye. A note. I picked it up and skimmed through it, looking for any hints about where Anna could be. It mentioned somewhere secluded, isolated, and I thought back to my mom's phone call. An abandoned warehouse. I combined the two and searched for warehouses with nothing near them. I ended up finding two, so I looked up the histories. One was still in use, while the other had been abandoned nearly ten years ago. I got back in my car after getting directions, and began heading to the warehouse. I sighed. I had no doubt that mom was forcibly taken from the house, but what about Anna? I was only gone for about ten minutes when she vanished. Once I found out that mom wasn't at my old house, I left. I got the call on my way back to Anna. Was it possible that my father could've taken her too? I began thinking about how that would've been accomplished. Then I realized there would be no way for him to have taken Anna too, because he'd have to leave my mom on her own, and he wouldn't take a risk like that. Which left only one option. Anna chose to seek out my father. But why? Why would she... A realization slammed into me, knocking all the air from my lungs in pure shock. She's tried it once, and she's probably trying it again right now. I floored my accelerator, needing to get to that warehouse as soon as possible. Because if I was right, that means Anna is going to attempt to give herself up to my father again. Only this time, if I'm not there, she'll succeed, and most likely meet a horrible end.
