Braunick laughed meniacally as he flew himself across Renya, shooting balls of fire out his palms in random directions at his own will. He was causing absolute destruction, but didn't seem to care. He saw the people who had been forced into this apocalypse by the storm and by Braunick himself, having to go into hiding to avoid both the storm and the people turned evil by it. Many of them were quickly trying to scavenge for food before it began to rain again, because if it rained–they would be turned evil. Forever.

The Storm of Dark Energy is a giant black cloud swirling above Renya, handmade by Braunick. He released it after his castle was destroyed by the Destigems in an attempt to rid Agent 34 of his curse, as well as get a cure for Marque's disease, Serphera's Curse. The cloud will occasionally rain droplets of pure evil, which can turn anything evil if it touches it. They will go insane and will be driven for power, killing anything in their pathes.

Braunick strolled through the continent at a speed of a thousand men. He knew anything was possible and he didn't need that last gem as of now. He had harnessed nineteen gems and was missing one–the green one. Fáolar had hid the gem from him right before Braunick killed him. He assumed that the Destigems knew of the location, but he was going to let them have a little hope before he crushed their souls physically and mentally. He already had a plan for Thad's punishment, and he was going to make it good. Thad was the reason for the Zena's original rebellion, and he thought he deserved a punishment far worse than death itself.

Agent 34, however, Braunick could not kill. It's not that he was too strong for Braunick, it was just that Braunick couldn't do it. Agent 34 is actually Braunick's twin brother. Despite being twins, the two are actually the only seperate-species twins in all of Renya. Braunick is a human with black hair and rough skin, while his brother is an elf with brown hair and smooth skin. Agent 34 was generally more calm and witful of the two, elves generally being more kind and smart over humans. Braunick however, was the "trouble twin" as their mother called it. Neither of them got an education, but both learned to read and write. Braunick would constantly write bad things on the walls and fight with his brother, and it didn't help when his parents were forced to leave and had to give their children up to the Old King, who used them as helpers around the castle. Braunick's mischief increased at that point, him even betraying the king and starting a rebellion.

He remembered it like it was yesterday. Braunick rebelled against the king and actually managed to overthrow him, but he didn't get the gems. The king fled with the gems, but Braunick was too idiotic to go after him. He let him go, and when the old king died, hell broke lose and he began to truly get power hungry.

The king flew through Renya, looking up at the storm. "This is a good spot," he said to himself. "to rebuild my empire!" He laughed as he raised both hands into the air. The ground shook violently, everyone on the continent of Renya hearing it all at once. Vibrations were sent through the ground, cracking it in different spots.

Cracks appeared in an uneven circle around Braunick and he raised his hands higher. A giant chunk of the ground broke away from the continent and lifted into the air above Renya with Braunick on it. It was big enough to have a giant castle atop it and a small courtyard in front of it. This was where Braunick would rebuild his empire that the Destigems destroyed so long ago.

The island that Braunick has carved out of the continent rose above Renya, and soon reached the cloud. Braunick quickly ripped a hole through the storm above him and flew through it, the island following.

He laughed as he came to a stop above the cloud. Braunick flew to take a look at the new island he had just created.

It was beautiful to him. A giant floating island hovering above Renya that would soon have his giant castle and giant army living on top of it. It was concealed very well by the storm, and no one knew it was there. The only hole in the storm was the hole Braunick had created to get through.

When he got his empire back, no one could stop him. Braunick was undefeatable in every way possible, and everyone knew it.

Only God can save them now.
