Agent 34 fell through the cosmic-like mass that was the connection between Renya and the Gods' Realm. It was black and gray and slowly turning to a dark purple color. As he reached the end of the vortex he was sort of spit out. That was surely a way to describe it. He was spit out into a black and grey brick room, delicate and fancy interior, all black and grey as well, decorating the inside. The portal sat behind him, an opening in the wall that didn't look like it should've been there.
His friends all stood in the room in front of him, taking in their surroundings. A second later, Braunick's yells filled the room as he was thrown out of the vortex and spat onto the ground beside his brother. Agent 34 extended a hand towards him and he pulled him up off the ground, taking a minute to look around.
"This isn't what I imagined to be the Gods' Realm," Braunick finally said, breaking the silence with his words.
"I expected it to be more," Ismara began. "'ya know, cosmic-y, more of a space-y theme,"
"No," The king said to her. "The Gods are about elegance. Avalon is, at least. For Malío, the beast is too dumb to care,"
"Where's Thad?" Agent 34 asked. "Why is he not coming out of the portal?"
"He could've been stuck in the mortal realm," His twin suggested. "Malío could've came in before he jumped in and never had a chance to. I highly doubt that thing wants us in here,"
"Do you know the way?" Marque asked Braunick.
"No," he answered. "The only person to ever go in here was the author of that book I was using to commence the ritual, name and origin still unknown to all of history, and he was never heard from again after he went inside. He published his work about the Gods and decided to attempt to contact them and it is unknown if he succeeded. I assume he did, since he had no more books published after that,"
"Since when did you learn to read?" His brother snapped.
Braunick raised an eyebrow. "What, you never learned?" he snorted a bit. "I thought you would've taught yourself by now,"
Agent 34 simply slumped back, ending his part his the conversation.
Suddenly, Thad was spat out of the portal behind them all, rolling onto the ground with a thud. He jumped off the ground quickly, switching to his wolf form and shouting loudly, "Run!"
The Destigems didn't hesitate to follow his orders. They all began running down the only hallway connected to their entrance room with a sense of urgency as Thad began to explain.
"Malío—he–," a familiar piercing shriek was heard behind the group. Malío stood at the portal, roaring in fury. He began to fly towards the Destigems quickly, arms outstretched and white eyes open as wide as they could go.
"Split up!" Braunick cried. "He cant catch all of us!"
At the end of the hallway was a room that split into multiple other corridors. The group all went into different halls, Malío confused on which to follow. He followed after the one Thad had gone in, which was the one straight ahead.
Agent 34 ran as fast as he could, his hall descending down to a giant staircase. It looked and turned, seeming to go in directions that weren't even possible. When the elf reached the end of it, he was surprised to see a more darker part of the dimension he and his friends were in. The stone bricks lining the wall had cracks all throughout them, the torched hanging on the wall seeming to droop and looked like they were placed lazily, the flame burning slightly. The rug on the ground was torn, getting thinner and thinner until it completely disappeared and the only thing left on the ground was the same cracked stone as the wall and ceiling.
As Agent 34 went deeper into the hallway, it connected itself to a singular room. The room was large and dark, no light source anywhere except for the small torch in the entrance. As the elf entered the room, he grabbed the light off the wall and carried it in his free hand, his other hand carrying his white and purple blade tightly.
The sound of metal scrapping against the ground filled the air. He whipped around quickly, looking for a source, not knowing what to expect. Footsteps sounded in another direction, chains scrapping in another.
Soon, a cool rush of air came towards him. The flame went out, darkness engulfing the room once again. Agent 34 stood there motionless, not knowing what exactly to do. Something was in that room with him, and he didn't know if it was friendly or not.
The flame reappeared, bigger and brighter before. It lit up the entire room now, every corner of it was illuminated. A creature stood near the wall, chains on its limbs and tied to the wall. It was Avalon.
