The next day came by quickly. Agent 34 awoke with a jolt, but not by another nightmare. He awoke with the excitement of a new adventure. Today was the day that he would venture to the mainland with Ismara and Sercon to find some survivors. If all went well, then he would be permitted to go search for the last gem that Fáolar hid before his death.
As soon as the elf was prepared to leave, a knock sounded on his bedroom door. Once the door was opened, Ismara stood in the doorway. "Marque finished my bandanna!" She explained. The elf pointed to her shoulder, where a green cloth was wrapped around it. "I don't want to copy you and wear it the way you did so I just tied it around my shoulder," Ismara said.
"It looks great," 34 replied. "and who cares if you copy me? It's not like I'm the first person to do this."
Ismara wore a backpack and light clothing. Her hair was pulled back behind her ears and put into a ponytail. "Since he finished my mental defense early I get to go with you to the coast!" She explained. "We leave immediately so I hope you're packed. And if you aren't, well, hopefully it'll only take a few days,"

"Alright," Thad explained. "You get in there, find as many people as you can, and get out before the rains starts. I planned this accordingly and you should arrive just after the rain finished. Search the houses, not the streets. Hear me? The streets is where all the evil people will be. The survivors will be barricaded inside somewhere impenetrable. If someone refuses to come with you, let them stay. You don't have time to wait on one person when there are others in more need than them,"
"And if anything goes wrong," Barjual said to everyone. "I will contact Thad and send him a message mentally and have him send backup,"
"Exactly," Thad explained. "Now go save some people in danger,"
Everyone piled aboard Barjual as Thad waved goodbye to them. The black dragon took off into the air. Upon his back was Agent 34, Ismara, Sercon, and two Ar'gual that Agent 34 had never met before.
"My name is Grapm," The shorter Ar'gual told them. "Lord Grari assigned me and Grainer here to assist on the mission."
"Good to meet you," The other Ar'gual said to Agent 34 and Ismara. They seemed to both already know Sercon, which didn't surprise them.
"Okay, before we get there, which should only be like an hour flight by the way," Sercon began. "we need to establish an escape plan if anything goes wrong. Something we need to note is that we have to get Agent 34 back if anything goes wrong. To hell with us, 34 is important. He is not only a symbol of freedom to us, but he is Braunick's brother, and he will do anything to get him back. That's one of his main goals,"
"When did I become so important?" Agent 34 piped in.
"You've always been important, 34. If Braunick gets you, he will find some way to get you on his side, and there's no telling what will happen if that ever comes into play, and hopefully it never will. But anyways," Sercon continued. "Barjual will be waiting by the coast at the edge of the storm. We have exactly an hour before it rains, so we better gather as many people as possible. If anything goes wrong, just get to Barjual. Hopefully whoever is fighting us can't fly,"

Isoma had been flying for a straight day now. He could see the island coming into view, the big volcano at the end looking bigger than most of the island itself.
A skeletal smirk appeared on his face as he flew quicker towards the island and shot Braunick a message to his mind.
I'm nearly there.
He almost immediately got one back.
Good. And if he isn't there, interrogate them. Torture them. Get whoever is on that island to tell you where he is. I want him and I want him now.
Got it. I will kill anyone who refuses to say.
Good.
Isoma was nearly above the island now. He began to lower himself down towards it and began to saw the small civilization developing there.
In the middle of the island there was a clearing where a giant building was being constructed. A boat was docked a little ways from it on the shore. The boat looked big enough to house a lot of people and the skeleton assumed that they were using that as shelter until the building was finished.
Isoma flew towards the boat, coming down at a fast pace.
