"That must be it," Agent 34 pointed to an abandoned village that was in slight ruins. It had delicate architecture all around it, most of it decayed slightly by no one to keep up with it daily like usual.
A crash sounded and a building collapsed. Once the dust settled, Agent 34 could make out a figure with a white outline around it hovering above the village.
"Oh no," Ismara said, spotting the same thing Agent 34 did.
"What is that?" Venon asked.
"It's someone Braunick sent," Agent 34 explained.
"How do you know?" The dragon replied.
"It has the same white outline as the last person Braunick sent," Ismara said. "but this person is probably here for the same reason we are. To find the gem,"
"But Fáolar told you, not Braunick, where the gem was," Agent 34 said. "There's no way that he could've known it was here,"
"We aren't looking for a gem," She said. "We are looking for an Ar'gual. The Ar'gual With The Crippled Leg,"
Another bang sounded and another building exploded in dust. They watched Braunick's friend raise their arms above their head and form a black ball of energy and throw it down upon the next building, exploding the bricks and putting even more dust into the air.
Venon got closer to the village but couldn't get there any faster than the speed he was already at.
"Hey!" A voice sounded at the village. They all stopped looking at the attacker and looked for the source. Once Agent 34 spotted it, he tapped Ismara on the shoulder and pointed to a cloaked figure standing on a short building. "I'm the Ar'gual With The Crippled Leg!" He shouted at the attacker. "You're looking for the last gem, right?"
Agent 34 nearly facepalmed as he heard those words come out of the cloaked figure's mouth. The attacker stopped destroying the buildings and began to fly towards the figure, forming two balls of black energy in both hands.
"Stop them!" Ismara commanded to their dragon. Venon flapped his wings harder and stretched his neck farther out as if it helped in how fast he was flying.
"Last gem?" The attacker asked. As they got closer, Agent 34 could make out who it was. It was a human woman with gray skin and a white outline just like Isoma had had. She obviously had some form of Black Magic if she was able to express that much power in that short amount of time. Agent 34 assumed the power was given by Braunick himself.
As they closed in on the woman, the woman did the same with the cloaked figure. The cloaked figure pulled back his hood to reveal an Ar'gual beneath it. He had a scar across his left eyebrow, the iris of the eye having no color. His leg was covered in bandages that looked torn and old. This actually was the Ar'gual With The Crippled Leg
Venon roared at the human who flinched at the sound. She looked over to spot the dragon who was coming right for her at increasing speeds. The woman flew away quickly from the dragon, fear rising up her spine.
Venon rammed into her head first, knocking her out of the air. She flew down and smacked into another white building, creating a hole in it. The hole expanding as the bricks began to fall, the building collapsing. Dust arose from the falling building, clearing and going into the atmosphere.
Venon hovered over the Ar'gual, his passengers smiling down at him. "We are the Destigems," Agent 34 told him. "Not whoever that was,"
"Who was that then?" The Ar'gual With The Crippled Leg asked the group.
"I," The debris shifted, the woman sitting up and pushing the bricks off of her. Her hair was messy and coated with the dust, cuts all over her body. Even with the wounds, she expressed little to no pain. "am Sarah,"
Sarah stood up, wiping the dust off of her and raising herself back into the air. "I am Sarah,@ she stated again as she became level with the dragon. "and you probably shouldn't have done that."
"I think I should've," Venon roared at her. "You seem like a coward to me,"
"I am not a coward!" The girl shrieked, forming balls of black energy in his fists.
"You sure acted like one when you ran away from me," Their dragon said. He lowered his tail down to the building the Ar'gual was on and signaled for his passengers to climb off. Agent 34 and Ismara slid their way down carefully, avoiding the spikes on his tail as they went.
"I am not a coward!" Sarah yelled, visibly shaking now. "I am not a coward! I work for Braunick himself and I am only a mere human!"
"You say that as if humans are weak," Venon said, rolling his eyes.
"And they are! I have gone years without being able to show any signs of strength or power. But now...Braunick has gifted me the power of Black Magic!"
"Not true," The dragon said once again. "I have met a few humans that were very powerful. In fact, one of them just so happened to be a spellweaver,"
"Humans. Can't. Do. Anything," She said swiftly. "Have you ever heard of any human in any point of written history that changed the world?"
"No," He replied.
"I told you!" Sarah said, laughing insanely.
"You didn't let me finish," Venon said simply, a smile stretching across his face. "I have never heard of anyone in history changing the world. I have only heard of people that helped guide it in it's path,"
Sarah shifted, her expression changing abruptly. "What?"
"I have only heard of people that have helped the world grow. I have never heard of anyone that has managed to shift the world off that path of growing and go to another. Have you?"
Sarah had no answer to this.
"Now, why don't you show me how weak humans are?" The dragon tempted her.
"I said humans are weak," She raised his fists that were covered in balls of black energy. "I am not,"
