At lunch I sit beside Harry instead of across from him. His elbow nudges my side every once in a while but it doesn't make me wish to be sitting in my usual spot watching him glare at me from across the table.

I pull my phone out to the table top checking for texts from my mother. I texted her after the grad meeting and waited for her response but she must be busy.

"Why don't you want to go to the ceremony?" Tara asks Harry as she eats both Liam's food and her own.

"I'd have to get a suit just to walk across a stage then eat a poorly made dinner with my whole family? No thanks." He says making a reasonable point.

"But what about your mother?" I ask knowing how Anne would fight her son into a suit herself if she had to.

"She'll get over it." He shrugs before stealing an orange slice from my tray. Normally I would scold him but my appetite has vanished.

"You're having a party tonight right?" Liam asks Harry before taking a sip of his sports drink.

I look at Harry watching him nod. I guess he's staying here while I go to cheshire. Unless my mother decides I can't just like graduation.

I hear my phone buzz from the top of the table making me scramble it into my hands to read the message.

*yes, Lydia and Karen asked me*

*well I didn't.
I'm graduating here.*

*you're choosing a boy over your friends?*

*no i'm choosing simplicity over complications*

I sigh shutting my phone off before grabbing my water from the table as Liam talks to Tara and Harry stares down at me.

After a terrible hour of fitness and one hour of boring mathematics, I am finally able to stand in the cold waiting for Harry to emerge from the school.

I don't know why today it's taking him so long to leave school as I look out into the parking lot. His car is parked in his usual spot but he is no where to be found.

I watch another cluster of students burst from the door. I lean up to my toes to try and see him among the tall students.

I feel two hands wrap around my waist and hear the slow raspy accent I've been waiting to hear since school let out.

"Who are you looking for, princess?" I reach for Harry's hand and run my thumb across his tattoo along the edge of his hand.

"You, You took forever." I both answer and complain before turning to look at the tall bipolar mess that makes me happy and angry at the same time.

We've been having a good day and I don't want any arguments over cheshire and Harry's party to ruin it.

"Sorry. I was buying-" Harry starts but cuts himself off before he says too much. I can smell weed on him so I know he has been buying it.

"I know you do weed Harry." I speak watching a smile take over his features.

"Do weed? You think I do weed?" He asks laughing as I roll my eyes at him and let his hands go.
