The Fireplace

Blakely's P.O.V

Air. 

I could feel it going into my lungs and releasing.

In and out.

In and out.

I was breathing.

My eyes shot open only to close again.

It was so bright.

Why was it so bright? 

I winced.

The white walls, ceiling, and floor reverberated the light back and forth causing my sensitive eyes temporary blindness.

Where was I? 

Opening my eyes again, I was staring at what seemed to be the ceiling.

But lets be honest, It's not like I could tell.

Propping myself up onto my elbows, everything seemed quite normal.

Or as normal as an empty white space could get.

Maybe I was captured.

Maybe I was asleep.

That would make a great deal of sense.

Yeah.

Im dreaming.

Im having a dream.

or a nightmare.

Not too sure yet.

"I can assure you, you aren't dreaming sweetheart" 

That voice.

I know that voice.....

"Dad?" 

Turning my head, there he stood.

Sirius Black.

My father.

Bending down he grabbed my hand, helping me up onto my feet.

"Where are we? Why am I here?" I asked, growing more nervous by the second.

"Come. Walk with me darling" Sirius stated, already going on ahead of me.

I followed.

Our footsteps filled the void of silence as we continued to walk through the bright white corridor.

I wanted to speak.

But the peace, was so warm and inviting.

I didn't want to ruin it.

However I didn't have to wait that long.

Stepping forward a few more feet, a fireplace came into view.

A single white fireplace.

"Look familiar?" Dad questioned, giving me a knowing look.

Even if it was a different color, it was still my fireplace.

"Just like the one we have at home" I gasped, grazing my hand over the solid mantel.

It felt so familiar.

But then again, so unattainable.

"Why? Why any of this, it doesn't make sense" 

A tear slid down my cheek although, I wasn't sad.

Sirius gave me a reassuring smile, "Because Blakely, you have a choice"

A choice?

What choice? Choose between what?
