Tony Stark x Reader

Chapter 7

   STEVE'S POV

  Y/N informed me of Y/N and Stark's agreement to see where they were after a couple weeks of dating. I had no problem with that, but I didn't want to see Y/N getting hurt by Stark.
  In the past, Stark just dated whomever he wanted to, and it would be multiple women at once. I only knew that because it was all over the newspapers. Y/N didn't deserve to be hurt by anyone, so maybe I needed to talk to Stark.

  When I made it to The Avengers Tower, Stark was talking to Banner.

  So, I asked him,"Stark, can I talk to you for a minute?"

  Stark crossed his arms as he answered,"That depends on what we're talking about."

  Y/N was working on one of Stark's suits as she replied,"Tony, just go with Steve. You can't really afford to say no. Steve probably would kick your butt."

  I sent Y/N a wink in response. She smiled at me before she went back to working on Stark's suit. Stark followed me out to the living room, where Thor was talking to Loki.

  Instantly, I asked Stark,"What are your true intentions with Y/N?"

  Stark chuckled before he said,"Is this your idea of interrogating me? Rogers, I have no bad intentions when it comes to Y/N. I do love her, and I want to show her that I do. Any suggestions?"

  I was trying to figure out whether he was telling the truth or not, and he sighed before he said,"Rogers, trust me on this one. I know we've had some rough moments, but we need to at least try for Y/N. Okay?"

  I nodded, and then I replied,"Okay. Y/N appreciates the little things. She doesn't like it when you go all out. Well, it mainly depends on her mood. When she is down, go all out to make her smile. Sometimes, what she really needs is a hug or just someone to talk to. She likes to hold stuff in. You may have to force some things out of her. That is the best I can give you, but just don't go over the top."

  Stark actually sent me a smile, but he clasped my shoulder as he said to me,"Thanks, Steve. I will remember those things."

  I nodded before I received a call from Sharon. Then, I headed back to see her.

   Y/N'S POV

  As Tony and Steve walked out, I became curious as to what they were going to talk about. Something told me it was about myself, or it was work related.
 
  I just decided to continue working on fixing Tony's suit before Bruce said to me,"You good back there, Y/N?"

  I answered,"Excellent, Banner. Do you think I made the right decision giving Tony a chance?"

  Bruce stopped looking at the numbers on his computer screen before he turned back to me and said,"Yeah, I do. I've never seen him so happy. You did that, Y/N. I know maybe when you knew Tony then he didn't have the best reputation, but he's different now. You two will be fine. Don't lose faith, okay?"

  I nodded before I smiled at Bruce. Then, he smiled back at me. When Tony returned, he noticed me looking at him. I blushed before I found the ground to be quite interesting.

  Tony said,"Hey, Y/N?"

  I looked up, and he was right beside me.

  He rested his hand on top of my own before he looked me in the eyes as he said to me,"I want you to know that I'm trying to get Spangles and I back on the same page. I know it's important to you, so I'm pushing through. I just want you to be happy with me. I really want to be with you, Y/N. Not just for a couple of weeks."

  I smiled at Tony, and I intertwined our fingers together before I replied,"I'll admit, I'm a little scared, Tony, but I want the same thing. Just promise me we'll go on another date soon or a mission together?"

  Tony chuckled, and then he said,"Take it slow, babe. I don't know about the mission part just yet, but I can promise you on the date. Don't worry, though. Spangles gave me advice on you."

  I giggled, but I stole a kiss from him before I said,"Okay, then I know this date will be amazing. Hey, Tony?"

  He looked back at me, and I said,"Your suit is on fire."

  I pointed behind him, and his suit really was indeed on fire.

  As Tony tried to take care of the fire, he yelled,"C'MON! Y/N, WHAT DID YOU DO!!"

  I pretended to be in deep conversation with Bruce. Tony pulled himself together eventually before he joined Bruce and me.
