I wake up early on Saturday morning. An odd thing for me to do but I have plans today. My mind is still reeling from last night with Lance. He likes me and I like him. Now we are something.

I am going to ruin his entire school life. There are going to be so many rumors about us at school.

I got Pidge and Hunk's number from Acxa. She saw them when she went out to get donuts for breakfast. I have Lance, Pidge, Hunk, Acxa, Shiro, my dad and stepmom in my contacts now.

As I change I get the notification for a text. I pick up my phone and it says:

Pidge: I was wondering if you want to come hangout at my family's cafe today. Hunk is going to be here.

I think about it for maybe two seconds before I decide exactly what I'm going to do.

I type up a new text to someone else.

You wanna go to a cafe with me and make some friends?

His reply is almost immediate.

LanceyLance:Sure why not

I reply back immediately because I don't want him to miss the text.

Meet me at Holt Cafe at 11:00.

LanceyLance: okay I'll be there

I slip on a white t-shirt and black jeans (pretty much the only jeans I wear). I put a red flannel on over my shirt and wear my red highs tops.

I leave my hair down, Lance kept playing with my hair when we kissed so I think he likes it down.

I start blushing. When we kissed.

I shake my head to shake away the memory but it just keeps popping up. I grab my phone and put it in my pocket with some cash from my nightstand. I walk out of my room and head into Acxa's.

I see her sitting on a chair next to her full length mirror doing her makeup. She's applying her famous black lipstick.

"Hey Acxa." I say walking up behind her."Hey dweeb what's up?" She says as she finishes her lipstick and turns around in her chair. "I'm going to head out. Tell Dad I'm meeting a friend." As I turn and walk away Acxa says, "Oh? And is this the same friend you snuck out to meet last night? You aren't slick Keith." Instead of replying I slam her door behind me.

I stop my motorcycle outside of Lance's house. I watch as he steps out but is pulled back in by a little girl who looks exactly like him. She's young with curly brown hair, the same tan skin as Lance.  I can't see her eyes but I'm guessing they're blue too. She looks about eleven or twelve but she pulls on Lance's arm like a child.

I can hear her whining for Lance to stay. Lance apologizes and hugs her and I see the girl shoot me an evil glare over his shoulder.

She mouths:

Stay away from him

Of course. Even Lance's own sister doesn't accept us. She smiles sweetly at Lance and they wave goodbye to each other as Lance nears me on the bike.

"Hey Keith." He says as he puts on the helmet I was holding for him. I give him a quick hand squeeze and a hi. He gets on behind me and hugs me tightly.

I start up the bike and we zip away from his house to downtown where the cafe is.

                             ******

We get off the bike and set our helmets down. I see Lance is wearing a blue and white striped shirt with light blue jeans and white converse. He looks fresh out of a male model magazine except for the fact you can see dark circles under his eyes and his cheeks are hallow.

We walk into the small cafe together. Inside are paintings done by Pidge herself and comfy couches scattered with coffee tables.

Lance and I sit on a brown couch. I watch as Lance sinks in to the couch and closes his eyes calmly. He's so cute when he's calm. I hate seeing him nervous like he always is. I sink in next to him and he leans his head on my shoulder.

I know we've just met but he makes me feel like I'm not alone and that someone understands me. We really need to get to know each other better.

I close my eyes and let Lance rest on me. We sit there silently as people mill around the cafe, eating and socializing. I hear the bell of the door ring and I open my eyes to see Hunk and Pidge skip in. Pidge is wearing a green t-shirt that says something about aliens and khaki colored shorts. Hunk is wearing a yellow floral button up and khaki colored shorts too. They both are smiling and talking until they freeze when they see me with Lance on my shoulder.

"What-"
"Who-"
"Why-"

Their questions were spit out in confusion. Lance immediately opened his eyes and got off of my shoulder. Lance stands up and I stand with him.

"Hunk, Pidge this is Lance my-" I look at Lance who stares at me, "friend."

Lance looks away from me but I don't know what to do. I don't know what we are. Pidge looks suspicious while Hunk completely believes it. "Hi Lance! I'm Hunk. Let's be friends!" Hunk quickly rushes and pulls Lance into a tight hug. I feel reluctant to let Lance move from beside me but it's no choice of mine.

Lance looks surprised but pleased, "Yes let's be friends." The two smile at each other and I feel a stab of jealousy. How come Lance smiles at him so easily? It always takes my best efforts to make him smile.

Pidge extends her hand to Lance and he shakes it with a smile. "Hi there Pidge. I hope we can be friends as well." She nods reluctantly.

"Well are we going to eat or what?" I say to the group. Lance shoots me a look while the others agree. Pidge's parents run this cafe so we get to eat for free. Lance looks so surprised so he orders a lot of stuff. I don't know why he's getting so much food, especially because he doesn't eat.

Food seems to be a touchy subject for Lance. I'm trying to make sure he eats normally, so everyday at school I'll make sure he eats lunch from now on. He also promised me to not throw up anymore so I hope he'll be okay.

Lance orders four muffins, four cookies and four croissants. He puts them all in a brown bag and doesn't touch it. I nudge him with my elbow, "What's all that for?" Lance doesn't meet my eyes. "It's for later."

So uhhhh this chapter is a little boring! Sorry! I'm in the car rn, I've actually been on vacation and we are driving back home so I'm a little carsick. But I pull through because I'm loving this story right now. I also apologize if this doesn't seem angsty enough for you. I don't want to be your cliche angst that is just everything at first. Don't worry it'll get even more angsty later on. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed~~~~~
