35. Lance

The group found a long line of seats right at the top. From right to left sat Hunk, Pidge, Keith, Me, Lotor and then Acxa. Since Lotor and I were sharing a drink I thought we should sit together. Pidge and Keith are also sharing a drink. Acxa sips her own smuggled in Coca Cola. Hunk has a huge icee and popcorn for himself.

As we all sit down and get comfortable Keith and I talk about who would be who. I tell him he'd be Violet because he's awkward and his eyes are her purple too. He blushed at that. I don't know why.

When I asked him who I'd be he didn't have an answer which disappointed me. But soon enough the lights went out and the movie started.

Somewhere half along the movie, Keith's head fell on my shoulder. I think he fell asleep. I smiled and patted his head lightly. I laid my head on top of his and kept petting his hair.

We stayed like that until I had to go to the bathroom. I whisper-asked if anyone else wanted to go with me and Lotor quickly said he did.

We silently sped walk out of the movie theatre, hoping to not disturb anyone. Once we got out into the hallway Lotor smiled at me, "So are you as a group going anywhere after this or are you free?" Is he asking if I'm free or if the entire group is free?

"Hunk, Pidge, Keith and I are going to some restaurant for dinner." I realize that sounds kind of rude so I just smiled, "If you'd like you could come too?" Lotor beams at me, "That would be lovely. Now you can go to the bathroom I'm going to refill our drink."

I nod and head into the bathroom.

After doing the stuff I walk out and lean against the wall, waiting for Lotor to come back with our drink. Instead, out of the movie theatre room, walks a tired and grumbling Keith. I've realized he's been angry this entire time.

When he sees me there he leans against the wall with me, "Why're you waiting out here-" He yawns softly, which is super cute, "All alone, Lance?" He scoots closer and leans his head on my shoulder.

"I was in the bathroom, now I'm standing here with you." Keith hums, "Okay..." He stretches out the "a" in Okay. We're standing there in silence for a little bit, well silence except for my foot tapping and Keith's humming. I like the humming, it's making vibrations against my shoulder.

"Are you okay buddy? You've seemed angry all night." I ask him softly. Keith stops humming. Instead I watch his eyes flick towards something. Then he wraps his arms around my waist and mumbles in my chest, "Just hug me please." At first I don't know what to do but then I just wrap my arms around him.

I hold him close and put my head on top of his. I close my eyes as Keith starts humming again. I'm rubbing my hands through his hair and we're doing this for what feels like forever.

I wish it was forever.

A throat clears.

My eyes open wide.

I see Lotor standing there with a drink in hand. His eyes flick down to Keith tucked in to my chest. Then his eyes flick back up to mine. His eyes narrow but he has a smile on his face. I pull away from Keith and he looks up at me with confusion, then he sees Lotor and his gaze gardens into a glare.

Keith grabs my hand and pulls me into the movie theatre, "Wha- Keith!" But I shut up when we enter the movie theatre, I don't want to be rude. I watch as Lotor walks in behind us.

I sit down next to Keith and he immediately silences and eats skittles from Pidge. I watch as Lotor sits next to me.

"Would you like some?" Lotor whispers to me and hands me the drink, it has two straws luckily, I thank him and sip from it. The flavor is blue, I would've liked red more but blue tastes good.

I hand him the drink back and he brushes my hand as he takes it.

Keith, to my left, is acting all moody and clingy.

Lotor, to my right, is acting all polite and being uncomfortable.

I watch the rest of the movie wondering what the heck I'm in between.

"Are you sure you know how to get there?" Hunk asks Lotor for what seems like the millionth time. Lotor just patiently smiles, "Yes I do. Now Acxa and I will meet up with you all there." We all wave to Pidge and Hunk as they get into Hunk's car.

Lotor, Acxa, Keith and I walk through the parking lot in silence. Once we get to Keith's motorcycle Keith immediately jumps on, "Come on Lance. Let's go." He pats the seat behind him. I'm just about to get on when Lotor says, "Are you sure about that? With no helmets?" Lotor looks at me with concern while Acxa looks around the parking lot in boredom.

I smile and then awkwardly get on behind Keith, "I'm sure. We've done this a million times." Lotor's eyebrows twitch.

Lotor smiles at me and I'm about to say goodbye when Keith grab my hands and wraps them around my waist. He grumbles, "Come on Lance, you know how to do this. After all, we do it all the time." I swear I can hear his smirk just like I can hear Lotor's glare.

"Well anyway. See you soon Lance." I wave goodbye as we zip away.

I hold tightly onto Keith and notice how cold he is. It's good I have a jacket, but he doesn't. At a stoplight I quickly take off my jacket and wrap it around his back. Then I rest myself on his back so my jacket doesn't fly off of him.

"Lance, why are you so warm?" I feel like this question is familiar somehow. Then I remember. I asked Keith how he could be so cold. He said, "Because you're so warm, we're meant to balance each other out.". I don't think he knows I heard him, so right when the light turns green I say,

"Because you're so cold, we're meant to balance each other out."

Eyyyy back with another chapta. I didn't know if you guys would remember last seen from, shout-out, Chapter 23. So I had to write a lil about it. Well hope you enjoyed and thank you for reading as always. Next chapter is dinner with the group~~ I wonder how that's gonna go.
