"No Gabe!" I screamed and Gabriel turned. Everyone had already gotten to the bunker before us.
"Go I'll be fine!" He screamed back, me and Dean stood watching him fight. A stake went through his chest and my heart stopped for a mere second, the smile on Michael's face made me snap back into reality. (AN:Oops there goes gravity)
"GABRIEL!" I screamed and tried to run after him, Dean stopping me.
"No Sam!" Dean gripped my arm and I swallowed around a sob that formed in my throat.
"He's gone Sam," Dean swallowed too, "I'm sorry."
"No god damn it no!" I screamed and whipped my arm, ripping it away from Dean and running towards the burnt wings imprinted on the ground. I picked him up bridal style while Micheal and Lucifer watched, probably confused. I rushed to Dean with the man in my arms.
"He won't be left here Dean," I said and he nodded. I stepped through the rift, Dean coming behind me about a minute later after being sure Lucifer stayed behind. Everyone's jaw went slack at the sight of me holding Gabriel in my arms, I couldn't move as I stared at his face. This wasn't real it was a dream, it had to be. I pushed some of his hair from his face, tears rolling down my cheeks and off my chin.
"Is he?" Bobby piped up and Dean nodded.
"Sam we're sorry," Charlie offered and there was scattered nodding.
"Sam why don't we give him a hunter's funeral? We'll all be there." My mom offered and Dean clapped a hand on my shoulder, nodding for me. I was frozen. Mom walked beside me and led me outside with Dean, standing in the middle of the room full of people with a dead body wasn't the best thing for anyone.
...
I stared down at the grave we'd set up, everyone was standing around in silence.
"Sam," Mom said and I snapped my head to her fast. she had knocked me out of some kind of daze.
"How are you holding up?" Mom asked and put a hand on my back, rubbing between my shoulder blades.
"I don't believe it," I whispered, "there's just... I can't... Mom." I turned around and sobbed, I hugged her tight and cried into her shoulder while she ran her hands over my shoulders.
"I love him Mom I love him so much he's not gone he's right over there," I bawled, "I'm gonna go in my room and he'll be right there on my bed when we get in the bunker. He's fine Mom he's f-f-f."
"Honey," she sighed at my stupid denial. I knew he was dead but maybe if I talked it out like he wasn't, he'd be back.
"He's gone but he'd want you to stay strong Sammy," Dean walked over. I tightened my grip on Mom while I cried.
"Sam he wouldn't want you to mourn too long," Mom said and kissed my hair, "he'd want you to continue on. He'd want you to be happy still, he liked you happy Sam."
"I don't want to go back," I mumbled.
"Hm?" Mom asked and I lifted my head.
"My bed's gonna be empty Mom," my voice cracked.
"Sam you've gotta get rest," Dean said. I looked around at everyone else here, they were having sympathy for me. I hated their pitiful eyes, I wanted to punch the look off their faces.
"I can't be around people I gotta go," I mumbled and Dean nodded. Him and I went inside, he took me to his room instead of mine. We sat on his bed, my legs were crossed and I stared at my hands.
"I'll stay in here with you Sam if it'll help," Dean whispered and put his arm around me. I turned and hugged Dean, crying again.
"Dean I'm sorry," I whimpered, "we've been fighting so much and I-I-I... Dean I love you."
"I love you too Sam," Dean said without a beat, "and I promise I'll help you through this."
"Dean," I cried and he shushed me. He held me closer to his chest, I felt my eyes get heavier with exhaustion.
"Dean I'm gonna sleep," I slurred and he laughed a little. Was it real? Doubt it.
"Yeah Sam," Dean said and let me curl up in his bed. He left his hand on my shoulder, I heard him sniff before I fell asleep.

"Sam we need someone to make a deal with Micheal," Bobby urged, "something that him and Lucifer couldn't refuse. We've gotta get Dean back." Bobby mumbled the last part, my throat swelled up at the thought. Dean was gone, Gabriel was gone, let's see who else wants to fucking disappear.
"Sam," Castiel said and I snapped my attention to him, "we've got nothing."
"We do for Lucifer," I muttered.
"What do we have that Lucifer could want?" Castiel asked and I gave a cold smirk, I could tell it scared Bobby. Hell it scared me, I don't even know who I was anymore.
"Me," I dropped to a frown, "offer me up. Get Dean back?"
"Sam we aren't going to give your vessel to Lucifer," Castiel stated.
"Too bad because I'm giving it to him," I said, "you've gotta get Dean back and that's the only way I see it working."
"Why would you even consider offering yourself you idjit!" Bobby yelled and I just shrugged, I don't care I just want Dean to be back. I realized that I couldn't care less if I was here or not, it didn't seem worth it anymore. Nothing felt like it was worth it anymore, I just wanted to starve to death or something.
"Sam you aren't seriously considering this?" Mom asked and I chuckled darkly.
"I am and I'm going through with it," I said, "no matter what."
...
"Well well well," Lucifer smiled from across the room, "it's my favorite Winchester."
"Lucifer I have something for you," I said and he straightened his posture.
"How sweet Samuel," he stuck out his lower lip.
"Will you convince Micheal to let Dean go if I give you my vessel?" I said, plain and simple. I flinched at my own words, the deal was out.
"So Micheal doesn't have his vessel but I do, why the hell would he agree to that?" Lucifer asked, I sighed.
"Lucifer just... please," I sighed and looked at my feet, "if my brother is released you can... have my vessel."
"Really?" Lucifer raised an eyebrow, I nodded and closed my eyes.
"Well Samuel you have a deal," Lucifer grinned, "are you here alone?"
"Yeah," I swallowed. We retracted every but of Gabriel's leftover grace to open the rift, I felt so guilty and mortified at the thought of what we'd done to his corpse. In reality, it wasn't too bad but I still felt guilty.
"Well that's fun stay here," Lucifer said and I nodded. I was there for a few days, in this small cabin that lacked food. I didn't care I didn't really eat that much anyways, I slept in a weird cot that smelled like sour milk. There was a creaking at the door that I assumed was Lucifer, but instead I was met with Gabriel and Castiel. I jumped out of the chair I had been sitting in, frozen in the middle of the floor.
"Goddammit  Samuel William Winchester I outta kill you," Gabriel walked over to me with his teeth clenched tight, "what the fuck do you think you're doing?!" I was met with a firm slap across my face, it was strong enough to leave a bruise for sure. It stung and I touched my face, there was a small handprint now indented on my face. It hurt so bad I could cry, I did a little bit.
"I am not sorry for that what on Earth do you think you're doing?" Gabriel asked and my mouth opened but no words came out, I didn't know what to say or do. Was it real?
"SAM ANSWER ME!" Gabriel screamed, there were tears pouring endlessly from his eyes. His face was twisted with pain, there was a brick in my chest.
"Gabriel," was the only thing I could say. The word fell off my tongue smoothly but it sounded so wrong in the air, as if it violated my ears in some way.
"Gabriel I-" I was at a loss, with nothing to say.
"We're going home," Gabriel said and grabbed my hand with enough strength to probably break my fingers. I winced and he loosened his grip.
"No," I said, "Dean."
"We'll find a better way Sam," Gabriel said and gave me sad eyes. I wanted his face to stop, stop being so sad and flooded with pain.
"For right now we've gotta get back home," Gabriel said quietly. Castiel still stood silent, I flicked my eyes to him.
"I've made the deal," I said and my voice cracked. I started to cry, hard. I fell to my knees and Gabriel was quick to come to my side, he healed my face and sighed.
"Sam," he whispered and kissed behind my ear. He ran his fingers through my hair, I wrapped my arms around him and held his shirt tight.
"Gabriel I missed you so much," I cried, "I love you and I'm sorry. I wish I could be happy to see you but I'm just... hurting."
"It's okay Sam," Gabriel comforted. The door creaked again, Gabriel and Castiel turned around at the same time. I looked up and they all had their right hand gripping a blade, Gabriel stood up and met Lucifer's eyes.
"Gabey welcome back," Lucifer cooed, "so how the hell did you come back to life?"
"Doesn't matter," Gabriel growled, "what matters is that you drop this deal and tell us where Dean-er Micheal- are."
"Oh yeah but I've already made a deal with Poindexter," Lucifer sarcastically pouted, "although Micheal and me don't see eye to eye yet, me and the kid have a deal."
"You won't for long," Castiel stepped forward a bit, "we'll be coming for Micheal. The deal won't work if Michael's dead, the people are armed and very loyal to their cause."
"'Cause loyalty and an army will get them anywhere against MICHEAL," Lucifer punctuated.
"Oh wait I'm curious," Lucifer said and trailed his eyes down to me. I was still on the floor, gripping one of Gabriel's hands for dear life.
"Aw wait Sammy you were in love with my baby brother," Lucifer cooed sarcastically, "that is so cute that he'd rebel for a fucking human. Well isn't this just sweet."
"Not a human," Gabriel argued, "humanity. It's a beautiful thing that dad created, it's been tainted because YOU didn't like it and you were pressed with daddy for not giving YOU attention. You have daddy issues and you're taking it out on everyone else." After Gabriel finished yelling at Lucifer, Lucifer's eyes burned red and he had Gabriel smacked against a wall. I fell backwards and fighting instinct took over before anything, I rushed back to keep myself distant from the three more powerful beings in the room, Castiel lunged forward and almost stabbed Lucifer but Lucifer grabbed his arm before the blade penetrated, Castiel was knocked back. Gabriel's eyes glowed white and blue before he was free of Lucifer's grasp, he marched over to Lucifer and had him held against the wall.
"You can undo the deal and let us move on," Gabriel muttered in his face with the blade pressed against his neck. I walked over so I could see what was going on, making sure that Lucifer didn't have some back up plan. I helped Castiel stand while Lucifer watched, Lucifer shrugged and his eyes glowed red and he smiled. I grabbed the blade from Castiel, pushing it into the chest of another Lucifer who was nearly about to stab Gabriel. The real Lucifer tumbled to the floor and the clone faded from Gabriel's grasp, I breathed and tried to comprehend the situation. I dropped the blade and Gabriel turned around, I saw his face and realized it was him. He was here. I grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and pressed my lips against his hard, not breathing but just letting it all pour out. He kissed back for a few seconds before pushing me away, burying his face in the crook of my neck.
"Castiel's here or I'd fuck you until you learned a god damn lesson about sacrificing yourself," Gabriel grunted and I chuckled before tangling my hand in his hair. I wrapped my other arm around his waist and pulled him close to me, his arms both went around my waist and he kissed my neck gently.
"Sam I'm so pissed at you I don't think I've ever been so angry in my life," Gabriel sighed and his breath hit my neck. I didn't look up but I'm sure Castiel still stood, awkwardly in the middle of the room.
"We've got a fight Sam we can't stall forever," Gabriel said and pulled away. I nodded and laced our fingers together, Gabriel nodded to Castiel who sighed.
"We have everyone finally set up," Castiel said, "they're hungry for war. I say we leave them and see what happens."
"What about Dean?" I asked quickly.
"They have a plan and the correct things to get Micheal away from Dean," Castiel explained, "they are most likely going to get Dean back, chances are slim but Dean could die if the war gets too big. And someone who isn't on our side gets a little stab happy, Dean could die but the chances are slim enough that we should take it. We'll have to stay at the bunker and return in a few weeks to see where things are standing."
"Cas I- I owe you everything," I stuttered and he shook his head.
"It's you who has been the strongest and most sacrificing to your work," Castiel says, "we're amazed by how they have come along so far under your training. Sam these people are your military and you've teained them, they just have to fight for your brother and their Micheal to be dead."
"Sam you've done good for this other world," Gabriel said and squeezed my hand slightly, "own up to your work."
"Thank you guys but I just... I just want Dean back," I said sadly.
"We do too Sam," Castiel said, "and we're going to get him back. For now we have to go back to the bunker and send the army in before we run out of Gabriel's grace there isn't much more left."
"It's hard to replenish outside when you're inside," Gabriel joked and tipped me a face that read are you okay?. I nodded and he nodded back, no he didn't believe me but that didn't matter right now. We walked, all three of us, back to the rift. I held Gabriel's hand and Castiel told me about how Gabriel came back, we got back to the rift and stepped through.
"Sam we found a better idea that's why we sent them in," Charlie said.
"I told ya you were an idjit," Bobby said, "you've been out there for a week."
"Yeah yeah," I smiled and squeezed Gabriel's hand.
"You look better kiddo," Mom said and I nodded with a small blush.
"So if you're ready to fight," I called to the group of armed people, "go ahead. We'll reopen the rift in a few days and check up on everything." There was mass amounts of cheering and I got a few hugs from Bobby, Charlie, and Mom as everyone piled out with backpacks full of supplies and weaponry. Once everyone left, the room was so incredibly empty. I realized the bunker would feel empty without every single room being taken up, plus some overflow.
"So now we wait?" Gabriel asked and I nodded.
"We wait and check up on them in a few days," Castiel said, "until then you guys rest and reunite. Dad knows we already have." Castiel and Gabriel smiled at each other before Castiel left, I turned to Gabriel and I wasn't sure what to say.
"Welcome back," I smiled and some hair fell into my face. Before I could even move my hand he tucked it back behind my ear.
"Glad to be back," Gabriel smiled with half his mouth. He moved his hands around my stomach, he cocked an eyebrow. He pulled my shirt up slightly and gasped audibly.
"Sam what the hell," Gabriel yelled at me again, "take your shirt off now!" I blinked at him before doing what he said, he scowled at me and flicked me in the nose.
"Goddammit you didn't eat either!" Gabriel was almost screaming in anger, "Sam why did you do this? I didn't do this to you, did I?"
"Gabriel I-I can't make excuses," I huffed, "after you it was only months before it was Dean too. Dean was the one who was helping me with you being gone, having to dig you back up and take your grace felt so wrong too. I couldn't do anything and I just wanted to die, that's why I offered myself because... because I just didn't really want to be alive."
"Jesus half brother Christ Samuel William Winchester," Gabriel shook his head and tears started to fall from his eyes, "why? You're worth everything to so many people and you just offer yourself up? What would've happened if I came back and you were already gone? Or if Dean came back and you were gone? What would the point be Sam?"
"I don't know I just wanted to not be here I wanted to forget but nothing worked," I said quietly, "I drank and that didn't work. Then Dean left and I spiraled even further, he was the only person helping me cope with you being gone. I haven't slept in my room since you've been gone, sleeping alone felt so alien I slept in Dean's bed with him. It's creepy and weird but I couldn't do anything else, then he left and I stayed sleeping in his room. Wishing for death while in his room."
"Sam listen to me," Gabriel said and cupped my jaw, "you mean too much to go and kill yourself. And you'll never sleep alone again, I'll be right here. And Dean's coming back. From here on out, I promise it'll be okay." My eyes welled up, I started to cry and my knees collapsed from under me.
"No you don't," Gabriel joked and caught under my arms before I could fall. Through his teasing tone was the cracking in his voice, as if he tried to hold back on crying like I was. I hugged his chest and cried into his shirt, he held me close to him while my knees threatened to fall again.
"Come on you need to sleep and eat," Gabriel whispered and ran his fingers through my hair.
"I love you," I whimpered.
"I love you too Sam," Gabriel said and lifted me up bridal style. He took us to my room, I shuddered a little at the thought of sleeping in here, but Gabriel was here. It was fine again. He laid me down and pressed his lips against my forehead gently,  I closed my eyes and he laid beside me. He wrapped an arm over my waist and tangled our fingers together.
"Goodnight everything will be okay," Gabriel whispered before kissing my hair.
*~*~**~*~*~*One Month Later*~*~*~**~*~*
We entered the rift, stepping into what looked like a warzone. That's exactly what it was, but there was no guns being shot at the moment. Right now there was cheering and drinking, laughter and storytelling. I looked around and saw Bobby sitting next to Dean, both of them had smiles and beers.
"DEAN!" I yelled and darted toward him, he smiled and stood up. We embraced and I laughed, my smile was so wide as I held him.
"Dean you're okay and Micheal is?" I ased but Dean interrupted happily.
"Gone," he smiled and we hugged again. Castiel hugged him after me, we all smiled and I huffed.
"Gabriel?" Dean questioned and I smiled, he shrugged and we all laughed.
"Join us we'll talk for a bit," Mom offered. I smiled and grabbed Gabriel's hand, sitting him and me next to Mom.
"So why didn't you introduce him as your significant other?" Mom laughed, I blushed and looked down.
"Wasn't sure if it was the right time," I muttered and Gabriel laughed.
"I don't always make a good first impression," Gabriel joked.
"They don't keep their hands off each other you would've picked up on it eventually," Dean mumbled and Mom laughed. She placed her hand on my knee ad squeezed it reassuringly.
"We love him Sam don't worry," she smiled and raised an eyebrow at Gabriel. Gabriel smiled with half his mouth before rubbing his thumb against my palm.
"Thank you," Gabriel said and stared off into the fire, "the only family I have left is Sam and the Winchesters."
"And us," Bobby said and raised his beer. Charlie, Mom, Dean, and the rest of the people around us raised their bottles. Gabriel blushed and Mom let go of my knee, I smiled and blushed too.
"We love you," I said, "I love you."
"I love you too," Gabriel said and looked around at the raised glasses, "all of you."
"Kiss so we can put our bottles down you idjit," Bobby spouted.
"Kiss," Charlie said. Everyone else joined in, including Mom and Dean as they chanted kiss kiss kiss kiss with their bottles raised. I looked at Gabriel and we laughed before I cupped his jaw, he put a hand around my neck and our lips met for a few seconds. Everyone cheered and clapped, I pulled my lips away after awhile and kissed his nose.
"Perfect," Gabriel whispered and chuckled.
