"Brother," Castiel said quietly. Gabriel and Castiel were sitting together in Castiel's room at the bunker, talking about Gabriel losing his grace and being human but also his wedding that was coming soon.

"What Castiel?" Gabriel asked and Castiel pondered for a second before answering.

"Why do you wish to marry him, I'm not against the marriage but I would like to know why?" Castiel asked and Gabriel chuckled lightly, shaking his head and looking down into his lap.

"You know, I miss being an angel every day. But he makes me forget, he makes me forget the pain and he makes me happy. I can't really wrap my head around it sometimes, I just fell in love with his soul and then fell in love with him." Gabriel rambled and Castiel nodded, listening to every word with a strange curiosity.

"That's really sweet Gabe," Dean said from the door. Gabriel turned around and smirked at him, Castiel gave a small laugh.

"It's true," Gabriel defended.

"You have your vows written yet?" Dean asked and Gabriel groaned, Dean laughed when he made the noise of pure stress.

"I keep procrastinating them," Gabriel put a hand on his face, "I don't know what to say."

"What you just said would be sufficient, would it not?" Castiel offered and Dean gave a small shrug.

"Cool," Gabriel said, "I can do that."

"Maybe elaborate a tad more on it though," Dean recommended.

"Sure," Gabriel agreed, "you're a great brother in law."

"Whatever you say man," Dean laughed and walked away. Gabriel pulled out his pen and paper and started to write down his vows, Castiel helping him along the way.

Wedding Day

"... I love you angel," Sam finished his vows and Gabriel's heart raced. He had a big dopey smile on his face as he stared at Sam's toothful smile, Gabriel thought he looked amazing in a tux.

"You know, I miss being an angel every day. But you make me forget, you make me forget the pain and you make me happy. I want to see you happy for the rest of your life, I will devote my time to making you smile and laugh. I can't really wrap my head around it sometimes, I just fell in love with your soul and then fell in love with you. I love you so much, Sam." Gabriel recited flawlessly and they both smiled at each other, they had teary eyes but no tears actually fell.

"These two persons present now come to be joined. If any person can show just cause why they may not be joined together - let them speak now or forever hold their peace." Silence. Sam could hear his heart racing and he tightened and untightened his fists to try and calm down, he wasn't sure what he was feeling but his heart was fast, he was trembling, and he couldn't get the smile off of his face. He was happy, happier than he'd been in a very long time, happier than he thought he could ever be ever again.

"I  Gabriel give you Sam this ring as an eternal symbol of my love and commitment to you," Gabriel said and took Sam's shaking hand. He mouthed the words 'it's okay' as he cupped Sam's hand and tried to relax him.

"I Sam give you Gabriel this ring as an eternal symbol of my love and commitment to you," Sam repeated as Gabriel did. He slid the ring onto Gabriel's finger and they continued to smile at each other, Sam took a deep breath.

"By the power vested in me," Gabriel and Sam both felt their hearts smack hard against their ribs when the minister said it, " I now pronounce you husband and husband. You may now kiss the groom." Sam dipped Gabriel down and Gabriel yelped in surprise before Sam kissed him, Gabriel laughed slightly and put his hands around Sam's waist so he didn't fall. The world around them seemed to be cheering, everyone clapping and smiling and congratulating as they kissed. Dean was heard over all of them though, he whistled and screamed obnoxiously. Sam finally pulled away and they both laughed, Gabriel brought a hand up to push some of Sam's hair behind his ear.
