"Do you remember me, Sam Winchester?" I tried carefully, he flinched hard when I reached under his arm to help him stand.

"S-sorry," I mumbled and looked at Cas, "we're just putting you on the bed real quick." Me and Castiel put our hands under his arms to help him up, his arm was so thin my hand wrapped all the way around it easily. He shuffled to the bed quickly, bringing his knees to himself again. I sighed and looked at him, wanting to cradle his face and tell him it was okay. But every move anyone made, he'd flinch and try to run away.

"Gabriel it's your brother," Castiel whispered and Gabriel looked up. There was a glint of something in his eye, he looked trusting for a moment.

"You can trust Sam okay," Castiel said reassuringly, "Sam wouldn't hurt anything or anyone. He's going to bring you food and he's gonna help you get cleaned up." Gabriel flinched and whimpered at that statement, moving away from us both but keeping his eyes locked on Cas.

"I'll still be here if that's what you're worried about," Cas said, "I have to ward the place while he takes care of you." Gabriel darted his eyes toward me, they were wide and horrified. It was something I'd never think I'd see in the archangel. I tried to smile at him but he remained still, I walked out to go get something to eat and a towel with warm water. I came back down to see Cas painting and Gabriel still in the same position, shivering.

"Are you cold?" I asked, just trying to get him comfortable. He looked up at me and I took steps closer to him, his fear grew as proven by how much wider his eyes got as I stepped closer.

"Gabriel I promise he won't hurt you," Castiel said and Gabriel flicked his eyes back to me.

"I won't," I cleared my throat, "I won't hurt you I promise." I tried to slouch a little, my height might've seemed a little intimidating. Gabriel huffed a little and I took more steps toward him, staying slow. Once I reached the end of the bed I slowly sat in front of him, on the very opposite side of the bed. Too far away to do anything. There was still fear but it wasn't as intense as it was before, I put the food I'd brought in front of him. He flinched at my arm extending across the bed, he was in rough shape, and it was horrible.

"Eat it you'll feel better," I smiled warmly. He didn't pull away from his knees, he was horrified and I just wanted to hold him. Make him feel better in any way. He picked it up hesitantly with one hand, the other hand still around his knees. He looked at it before putting it back down, staring at it suspiciously.

"It's a sandwich, not poison," I chuckled and he looked at me. I couldn't read his expression other than fear, I looked at Cas before reaching into my back pocket. I pulled out a bag of Skittles and put them next to the sandwich, he didn't flinch when I reached across the bed this time. I was ultimately realizing I had made progress, I laughed at myself.

"Candy?" I laughed a little as he reached out for it, he looked at it and looked at me. His expression read how did you know?

"I remember you," I sighed, "even if you don't remember me." He smiled a little and tore the bag open, his knees still to his chest but his hands not gripping them insanely tight to his chest.
