I tossed the bottle aside, gripping my hair in my hands tight and burying my face into my knees. Breathing hurt, everything hurt. I'd failed which wasn't uncommon was it, I always ruin everyone else's life?

"Hey Sam?" A voice, Gabriel's voice questioned before cracking the door open. I looked up at him and he sighed, walking toward me without invitation.

"You're not looking so hot," Gabriel said and the sober part of my brain fled away.

"Maybe but you on the other hand," I whispered and he laughed a little.

"Come on you need to get cleaned up," Gabriel whispered back and pressed his fingers to my head. He sobered me up and took his other hand to smooth out my hair, I looked up at him slightly pissed.

"Waste of money," I muttered.

"Buying it in the first place is a waste of money," Gabriel mocked and sat next to me. He placed a hand on my knee and I laid on his shoulder, closing my eyes and letting the day go by in my memories.

Dean agreed to be his vessel, Micheal broke the deal. This wasn't unexpected if you think about it but god damnit.

I started to cry, Gabriel tightened his grip on my thigh before wrapping an arm around my shoulders.

"We'll get him back it's okay," Gabriel comforted, "I've got my grace and I'll find a way to fight him back. I know you and Castiel have my back too."

"You aren't fighting him," I mumbled, "I won't let you do that."

"I'm the only one that can Sam," Gabriel stressed, "there's no deal that'll break Micheal of his vessel."

"I won't lose you," I looked him in the eyes. My brain always screamed kiss him in moments like this but I never did and I never will, there's so many reasons why I shouldn't and one of these days my reasonings will fail to my craving.

"Sam there is no other way," Gabriel said and I took a deep breath, "there's nothing we can do besides that."

"Dean could die too," I yelled and tears welled at the corner of my eyes, "Dean might die too." I put my head in my hands and Gabriel retracted his hands, I sobbed and he put a hand between my shoulders.

"I heard letting it out helps," Gabriel said and I looked up at him. He was smiling slightly and something burned deep in his eyes, he moved his hand to run his fingers through my hair and he started to sing something Enochian. I couldn't translate the words but his soft left me sleepy and distracted, he looked sad the more he sang. His eyes were dropped even more downward and they were relaxed, his eyebrows looked like they were dripping off his face.

"Why don't you lay down and get some sleep okay?" Gabriel whispered and I laid on his shoulder, closing my eyes and trying to obtain a rythmic breathing.

"I can't," I answered and he nodded. His fingers twisted the ends of my hair and I felt myself growing tired but unable to fall asleep, Gabriel's voice started to drift off as if the song was effecting him. It sounded somewhat sad but I still couldn't tell what he said until the last few words.

"And if she goes I'll go too," Gabriel finished and looked down at me. He still looked sad, I hated it so much.

"Thank you," I whispered and he smiled slightly, "what is that song about?"

"A man in love with his wife and she has a lot of mental issues but she continues to work very hard for him and their children," Gabriel explained staring off at the wall, "he believes that he will always love her and follow her example despite what she deals with behind the curtain. It's more of a poem but I've always liked it."
