Chapter 9- It Feels Right

Carter’s POV

Chloe and I finished last period and headed back to my place. This week has been a blast, Jai and I actually get on quite well, but I can tell that he’s a very shy person. On the way home we stopped at the corner store and bought lollies, something a kid always does. We skipped on home and soon we were greeted by my mother. I had forgiven her for not letting me go tonight, but Chloe and I had it all planned out.

The boys were picking us up at 6pm out the front of my house and then they would drop us back. The only thing I hadn’t worked out was what to wear tonight. Chloe and I walked up the stairs and into my room. I walked straight over to my walk-in wardrobe and began flicking through my clothes.

“What are you doing?” Chloe quizzed.

“I have no idea what to wear!” I stated.

“I know what you should wear.” She said. “You have to wear those ripped jeans that look like Cher Lloyds and your black pumps.” She added cheerfully.

“Yeah, but what shirt?” I stampered.

“Your Kill Me one.” She said.

“Sounds good.” I smiled. “Well I’m going to go get ready and shit.” I added walking into the bathroom and closing the door behind me.

I placed my chosen clothes over the bench and reached for my makeup bag. I always wear a little more makeup when I’m going out. I applied my foundation and powder, along with my mascara, eye liner and lip gloss. I let my hair loose, letting it fall down my sides along with its natural wave. I brushed it and freed it from any knots. I then reached for my jeans and place them on, but my foot got caught in one of the rips. I did the same with my shirt and shoes. If I must say I look pretty good.

I went and re-joined Chloe in my room. When I got back to her she was all dressed and ready to go. She was wearing an over-sized white shirt, maroon jeans and black pumps like me, and her makeup was done to perfection. In a situation like this you must take photos, so that’s exactly what we did. Luckily my mum doesn’t know what Facebook is, so I am able to put the photos up. For some reason Chloe and I always get comments on our photos and now Jai has started commenting as well.

Aww he’s so cute with his words. NO! He’s not, what? Oh Carter shut up. I looked at the time and saw that we had ten minutes until the boys would be here to pick us up. It was just turning dark so Chloe and I went out the back, locking my bedroom door behind us. We tiptoed down the stairs and mum was busy watching TV facing the opposite way to us. We hobbled down the last set of stairs and out the back door. The bad things are my backyard is covered in trees and we had to sneak around the side with bushes everywhere. My heels were making sounds on the pavement. We walked around the side and made our way through the trees. But as we were reaching half way my phone rang.

“SHIT!” I whispered as I fumbled for my phone. “Hello.”

“Where are you?” I recognised the voice as Jai’s. “We’re out the front.” He added.

“OW CUNT!!!” I yelled as Chloe flicked a branch in my eye.

“Um.” Jai said.

“Not you, give us 30 seconds.” I said hanging up my phone and getting out of the bushes.

We rushed out the bushes and dusted ourselves off. We headed towards the car and piled in, squishy once again. I was practically on top of Jai, not like that, don’t get any ideas! Jai and I were just chatting away over the slight beat of Beau’s chosen CD to play in the car.

“Are you excited for tonight?” Jai quizzed.

“Yeah of course.” I replied, remembering that I had just snuck out of home.

“Faydee’s gonna be there.” He smiled. WHAT? I’m like Faydee’s biggest fan.

“OH MY GOD ARE YOU SERIOUS?” I squealed.

“100% serious.” He replied with a smile.

“Holy shit!” I yelped happily.

Soon we arrived at Mooney Valley Race Course where the event was being held. There were fans everywhere so we drove around the back and arrived that way. We jumped out of the car and walked into the hall. I was behind the curtains looking at everyone pile into the hall. There is a live daresundays being filmed here tonight and I get to meet Faydee, oh my god! But there are other guests as well and I have no idea who they are.

It was nearing 6:30pm and the boys were getting ready to make their big entrance. All the boys came out of the green room and were stood next to Chloe and myself.

“Wish me luck?” Jai whispered into my ear.

“Good luck.” I replied.

“Aw thanks darling.” He said rapping his arms around my waist… um why is he doing this. I didn’t really care it just felt right sort of. He slid his arms off of my waist and walked onto the stage. The pitch of the screams was louder than the One Direction concert.

“Okay our special quests for tonight are!” Beau began to say. “Faydee, Reece Mastin and Johnny Ruffo! The VIP meet and greet starts now, come to the front of the stage.” He continued.

They waved good bye and walked back into the wings of the stage. I told Jai he did great and how excited I was to meet all the guests. We walked to the green room and Chloe and I were so excited. We pushed the door open and then that’s when we saw them all the special quests.

“HOLY SHIT!” Was all that escaped my lips.

Everyone laughed including the special quests.

“Oh my god can I have a photo with you’s?” I quizzed my voice shaky.

“Of course darling.” They agreed.

I posed for a photo with each of them and then we had one with all the guests the boys and Chloe. Soon that photo was up on Twitter, I do have a Twitter account because I love One Direction and that’s how I keep up to date with them. The caption for the photo was,

@JaiBrooks1: underage party having a blast with @ReeceMastin @JohnnyRuffo @Faydee @DanielSahyounie @James_Yammouni @BrooksBeau @Luke_Brooks @Carter_Clifford and @Chloe_Dalladay.

I turned my phone on silent as my mentions were blowing up. The fans soon came into the green room to meet the boys and get photos.

Once daresundays were filmed and the special guests performed we headed home. The boys dropped us off as I was getting out of the car Jai stopped me.

“Do you want to go out sometime? Like just you and I.” He quizzed.

I swallowed the lump in my throat and answered.

“Yeah sure.”

I smiled at him before closing the door and walking back to the house with Chloe. We went in the back and mum was asleep. We went into my room and gossiped about the whole night. It truly did just feel right when Jai’s arms were around my waist.
