Chapter 8- Water Fight

Carter’s POV

The next day, my eyes shot open with excitement. I jumped out of bed, and began getting ready, doing my usual routine in the morning. I was doing my mascara when I accidently poked myself in the eye that really hurt. It was then that I realised that I still had to ask mum if I could go to the underage party.

After I had packed my school bag and changed into my uniform, I went down-stairs to ask mum. She was cooking herself breakfast, an omelette I assumed. I sat down at the breakfast bar and waited for her to realise that I was there. She final turned around and acknowledged me.

“Hey darling.” She said.

“Um mum, I have a question.” I said nervously.

“What is it sweetie.” She replied.

“Well um, I’ve been invited to a underage party on Friday and I was wondering if I could go?” I said anxious of her answer.

“Who invited you?” She quizzed sternly.

“U-um Jai did.”

“I don’t know darling, I haven’t met them before.” She said shaking her head slightly.

“PLEASE I really want to go.” I begged.

“Sorry honey, I’m not comfortable with you going to a party when I don’t know who’s going to be there.” She repeated.

“ARE YOU SERIOUS?” I snapped.

“Don’t speak to me like that!” She hissed back.

I rolled my eyes at her words and stormed out of the house, with a huff. I rushed to school. I was so pissed off, I truly was looking forward to that party with Jai and my mum has ruined it. I walked over to my group who looked rather dull today, it always happens on a day like Tuesday. I sat down next to Chloe and she knew something was up. I mean this girl has known me for a week and she can already read me like a book.

“What’s the matter?” She quizzed.

“I can’t go to the underage party!” I announced.

“WHAT WHY?” She yelled.

“Yeah, mum won’t let me.” I replied pissed off.

“That’s so shit.”

“I know.” I agreed.

We sat in silence for a few minutes, we were both pissed.

“I have an idea, but I don’t know if you will like it.” Chloe said.

“What is it?” I piped.

“Well I was gonna say that I could stay at yours and sneak out, because Beau could pick us up.” She suggested. I ran the idea through my head for a moment, contemplating whether to do it or not. I knew if we did and my mum found out, she would kill me. But I really want to go.

“LET’S DO IT!” I yelped.

“Okay, I’ll give Beau a call and talk to the boys.” She replied.

I nodded and then the bell rung. I skipped off to class, like the school girl I am. I sat down in my assigned seat and began my work. The teacher was in a pissed off mood, and every time I went to talk to my friends she would bang a ruler onto my desk.

“What’s up her ass today?” I whispered into Chloes ear.

“Haha, she’s on her period.” She replied laughing.

“YOU TWO DETENTION THIS BREAK, YOU HAVE CLEAN UP IN THE CANTEEN.” Mrs Tuck our teacher screamed.

“We’re screwed.” I whispered to Chloe.

“Yep.” Chloe replied popping the p.

Class is over, but instead of going to lunch we have clean up. Chloe and I walked over to the canteen and we were handed hair nets to put our hair out of the way.

“Erm.” I heard a voice say.

I turned around to be faced with two twins; Luke and Jai. It seems they had clean up duty as well. We began cleaning up everything and chatting away. I was cleaning up the floor and I accidentally splashed Jai with soapy bubbly water.

“Really?” He snapped but I could tell he was joking.

“Sorry.” I said blushing slightly.

“Oh you will be.” He said with a cheeky smirk.

I frowned slightly at him, because I was confused. But then I was hit with a wet sloppy spunge and it hit me straight in the face.

“Oh my god.” I said.

I stood up and walked towards him, with my bucket of water. I was stood in front of him and then I lifted the bucket and splashed water all over his head. He blew bubbles out of his mouth as he returned the favour. My shirt went completely see though. Soon Luke and Chloe joined in, it’s safe to say we had a water fight. Jai had his hands around my waist trying to hold my drenched body back from another bucket of water.

“Let go of me.” I pleaded while giggling because his hands were firm on my sides.

“WHAT IS GOING ON?” I heard a voice bellow.

It must have been awkward for that teacher because Chloe was practically straddling Luke and Jai was pretty much hugging me while we were drenched. Luckily the teacher that stormed in on us was one of the nice teachers at our school. She just busted into laughter at our antics.

“Let’s just keep this between us.” She said still in pits of laughter.

“Good idea.” We all agreed.

She soon left the canteen with a funny smile on her face. Jai slid his arms off of my waist and stepped back. Chloe jumped off of Luke and she smiled a cheeky yet knowing smile on her face. I glanced at her and then looked down at myself. My makeup had run and my uniform was drenched. Also my white shirt was see through and you could see my bra.

“So can you come on Friday?” Jai quizzed, but the bell rang.

I really had to get to class, but I needed to reply.

“Yeah, just pick Chloe and I up at 6pm from mine.” I said quickly grabbing Chloe’s hand as I pecked Jai on the cheek.

I pulled Chloe as I looked back at Jai, he was smiling. I smiled back as I disappeared into the distance. I sat down in the classroom and I couldn’t get the smile off of my face. But my smile was wiped by some bitch sitting next to me… it was Beth. I thought she was 17?

“Um what are you doing here?” I quizzed confused.

“I’ve been put down 2 grades.” She laughed… holy shit this girl is dumb.

“Okay then.” I said, I tried to hold back my laughter.

“STAY AWAY FROM JAI, HE’S MINE!” She spat.

“Last time I checked, he wasn’t anyone’s.” I hissed.

“Listen slut, he’s not a cradle snatcher and you’re not good enough for him.” She snapped.

“Well I didn’t see him invite you to the underage party, he invited me instead.” I replied with a smug smile.

“Yeah right!” She said getting up from her position and storming over to another desk.

What is that girl’s problem, I haven’t done anything wrong towards her and I don’t think she should give me shit. That’s just stupid! I continued my work, but Beth was still in the back of my mind.

Come on Carter she’s just some girl and you don’t like Jai like that!
