2 Years Later
Carter’s POV
It’s like we went from strangers, to friends, to being together and then back to strangers. Two years on and Jai and I never spoke again. He didn’t text me or call me… but then again I never did either… I feel bad; maybe he was the one waiting for me to pick up the phone and call. I guess I got caught up in my school work. I graduated and I am now going to a university… in Melbourne. Yes I know there is a risk of me running into Jai but I really want to do this course and I can only do it at the Film and Television College in Melbourne.
I mean in the space of that year, I moved to Melbourne, had sex, had a pregnancy scare, met some of the most amazing people I will probably ever meet and then moved back. That was a very interesting year.
--
I flew down to Melbourne for Uni a day ago as I am staying on campus. Check in is tomorrow. So far I haven’t ran into Jai, but in a way, I kind of want to… but I wouldn’t know what to say.
--
I woke up fresh and ready to head off to campus, I checked out of my hotel and left. Yes I stayed in a hotel, because I am 18 years old and I’m responsible, but boy was my 18th mental. I strolled to the campus. It was a really nice day… oh did I mention I dyed my hair red and it’s really bright in the sunlight. Yeah I went through a face where I went mental and dyed my hair red and cut it short! But it suits me.
I arrived at the university and it was packed with people running around like lunatics. I made my way over to the registration table.
“Name?” The man asked.
“Carter.” I smiled.
He handed me a key and sheet of paper. It had my room number written on it. I was so excited to see who I would be sharing a room with. I made my way into the elevator and clicked the floor I was on, floor 6. The door was just about to close when someone slammed through it. He had brown hair and was wearing light brown pants and a blue jumper. He stood next to me and his scent went through the whole of the elevator. He looked rather familiar. I looked out of the corner of my eye and I recognised him… it was… it was… oh gosh… it’s Jai!
What is he doing here? He’s 20 years old… why would he be at uni? Maybe he’s finishing a course. I ran out of the elevator when it hit my floor, I looked back at him and he tried to get out the elevator but it closed.
I quickly made my way to my room and closed the door behind me.
“Well hello there!” A girl called out.
I spun around to be met with an old friend…
“CHLOE IS THAT YOU?” I bellowed.
“Yeah… do I know you?” She quizzed.
“It’s Carter.” I replied.
“OMG, I didn’t recognise you with your hair.” She smiled.
“I haven’t seen you in ages.” I said giving her a hug.
“I know right, what are you doing here?” She quizzed.
“Well there was no courses on the Gold Coast, so I moved down here again.” I stated.
“I’m so happy to see you.” She smiled.
“Same here.” I said. “Well do you want to go and check out the campus?”
“Sure.”
We wandered around for a while, looking at everything. The campus was beautiful and clean and it was such a happy atmosphere. I was happy to be here.

Jai’s POV
She looked so familiar. I couldn’t put my finger on it. She was stunning. I wanted to see her close up, so I could see where I knew her from. She had red hair and it was short.
I’m back on campus in my final year of my course. The Janoskians are still out there and we are still doing comedy… but we got singed to Sony and we have a few songs out now. But we never forgot about the Janoskians comedy side.
I went to my room and met up with my room-mate and we decided to take a look around campus, even though we have been here for 2 years we still like to check out the ‘fresh meat’. Or freshmen’s.
Not much was appealing to me, until I saw that red haired girl at a coffee stand with another blonde girl. I walked over to them and tapped the girl with red hair on the shoulder. She turned around, her coffee in hand. My eyes widened as I recognised her.
“CARTER!” I yelped.
“Oh dear god.” She looked down.
“CHLOE!” I yelled as I saw my old friend as well.
“What are you doing here?” Carter quizzed.
“I’m in my last year of my course.” I replied.
“Oh that’s cool.” She said.
“Walk with me?” I questioned.
“Sure, I’ll catch up with you later Chloe.”
We walked under the treed area and along the pathway. Her bright hair couldn’t go un-noticed. It really suited her.
“How have you been?” I quizzed.
“Yeah not bad, what about you?” She replied.
“I’ve been pretty good actually.” I smiled. “Let’s sit down.” I said pointing to the park bench.
We both sat down next to each other.
“What are you doing back in Melbourne?” I asked as she took a sip of her coffee.
“I’m doing my course and then I want to become a reporter.” She replied.
“That sounds heaps cool.” I piped.
“Jai… can I tell you something?”
“Of course.”
“I missed you so much.” She stated.
“I’ve missed you to. The only thing I’ve thought of was you and whether we would see each other again, and looks like we did.” I said.
“This is going to sound really corny when I say this.” She started. “But I never stopped loving you. I rejected every guy that asked me out, because I still love you.” She added.
“Carter… I did the exact same thing.” I replied.
I shuffled myself closer to her as she did the same thing. I watched as she placed her coffee down on the floor and looked up to me as she did our noses touched and we both giggled.
I pressed my lips to hers and she kissed me back.
