Chapter 23- School

Carter’s POV

Who would have thought a guy could make you feel like shit with one word. I tried not to think about it. My phone didn’t stop all night, not only was Jai calling, but Luke and Beau were to. Obviously Jai had told them about our fight. I didn’t answer any of their calls; I didn’t feel up to talk to anyone right now.

Mum really helped me, she told me to calm down and that Jai probably didn’t mean what he said. She told me it will all be fine and it would blow over soon. She always knows how to make me feel better.

After we finished eating dinner I headed up to my bedroom and logged onto Facebook. I scrolled through some of my notifications and most of them were sweet wall posts from Janoskians fans, they truly are a great family. Of course I do get the occasional hatful comment, but I just ignore them.

Once I checked my Twitter I shut down my laptop and packed my school bag, just so I was organised for school tomorrow. I haven’t been there in a while due to running off, and I’ve probably misses a lot of important assignments, but I’m sure I’ll catch up.

“I’m off to bed now sweetie.” My mum said standing in my doorway.

“Sleep well.” I waved.

“You too darling.” She replied closing my bed room door behind her.

I placed my laptop on my desk and got ready for bed. I stepped into the shower and washed my hair, and shaved my legs. I hoped back out and stood in front of my mirror. My eyes were still red and puffy from crying. I changed into my pyjamas, and slid under the covers. It took me forever to fall asleep because Jai was still on my mind.

My alarm was loud and annoying and when it went off I practically through it at a wall. I pulled myself out of bed and into my bathroom and began doing my makeup. I looked reasonably okay, but I still feel like shit. I put my dorky uniform on and headed down-stairs with my backpack around my shoulder.

Mum had left me a note saying that she had to work late and that she left some dinner in the microwave for me. I ate some toast and then headed to school.

On my way there I passed a chemist, and I remembered what Jai had said about me maybe being pregnant. I stopped and grabbed a test I was going to take it at school.

Arriving at school I got some fairly strange looks from people, I don’t blame them I haven’t been here in ages. I walked to where we usual sit and sure enough the whole group was crowded around Jai, because he is back to. I hastily walked over to them and they all spun around and ran up to me.  Chloe was the first to topple onto me and hug me along with the rest of my new friends.

“OH MY GOD, CARTER YOU’RE BACK, I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!” She shouted.

“I missed you to.” I stated hugging Chloe back. “Um can I talk to you?” I said.

“Sure.”

“Um in private.” I replied.

“Oh!”

We walked over to a bench and sat down. I pulled out the test and showed her.

“OH MY GOD, DID YOU HAVE SEX WITH JAI?” She yelled.

“SHHH keep your voice down, and yes I did.” I snapped. “Will you be there with me when I take this?” I added.

“Of course I will be.” Chloe smiled.

“Thanks Chloe.” I replied.

“But for now, put that away no one else needs to know.”

I placed it back into my bag as the bell rang.

“Meet me back here at lunch.” I said and she nodded.

I scurried to my locker but I was stopped by Jai. I tried to push pass him but he stopped me.

“Jai, stop!” I hissed.

“Please just talk to me.” He replied.

“I don’t want to.” I replied.

“I’m so sorry; you know I didn’t mean it like that.” He tried to apologise.

“Do I Jai?” I snapped pushing passed him and storming over to my locker.

I grabbed my books and chucked my bag in my locker in fury. I stomped off to my first class and got there just in time. I sat down next to one of my friends and began my work. The lesson dragged on forever.

The bell rang… thank gosh. I ran to my locker and grabbed the test. I placed it under my shirt and went to meet Chloe. She was there waiting for me. We walked to the bathroom and I stepped into the cubical.

I patiently waited for that stick to determine my future.
