Carter's POV

I forgot what this feeling was like, the feeling of being so in love that nothing around you matters other than the person you kiss. I never should have broken up with Jai; we should have had a long distance relationship, instead of never talking to each other until right now.

Jai and I kissed for a few minutes and then we pulled away, our eyes met each other’s once again and we stared at each other.

“I can’t believe you did this to your hair.” He laughed.

“What! You don’t like it?” I quizzed.

“No… I love it, but I didn’t think you would do something like that.” He replied.

“Oh and I also got this done.” I held my pointer finger to my lips revealing the tattoo I had gotten that said shh down the inside of my finger.

“Ya mental!” He said and I laughed. “But I love you.” He added.

“I love you to.” I replied.

It’s amazing how quickly you can re-connect with someone so well. I looked at my phone and the time.

“I’ve got to go, I have a class.” I said standing up and grabbing my bag and coffee.

“Um, okay, meet me down by the river 8 pm.” Jai said.

“Sure… bye.” I waved as I ran off to class.

I entered the room and took a seat in the middle of the class. I looked around at everyone and they were all so laid back by the way they were dressing and then I looked at myself and I do take pride in what I wear.

In that class we all just got to know each other a little bit and we got told what we would be working on. It sounded like I would be having a lot of fun in this class. Everyone is nice and welcoming and I made some new friends already.

Once class was over I had the rest of the day free, so I decided to relax before I met up with Jai later on. I chatted with Chloe and we went and got lunch together at a nearby café.

“So you and Jai… you guys on again?” She quizzed.

“I’m not sure yet… we kissed and he wants me to meet him at the lake tonight.” I replied.

“Sounds like you both still love each other.” Chloe smiled.

“Chloe… I never stopped loving him.” I stated.

“You guys are just too cute.” Chloe smiled.

“I know, I know… we’re adorable.” I giggled and continued to eat my lunch.

We sat for quite a while just talking about everything.

“So what about you Chloe, how’s your relationship status going?” I quizzed.

“Oh it’s great… Luke ended up asking me out ages ago and we’ve been going out ever since.” She smiled.

“That’s great! How is Luke, I haven’t seen any of those boys for ages.” I replied.

“They’re all great, the boys got signed to Sony and they’ve got songs out to, and I’m really proud of all the boys.” Chloe answered with a wide smile on her face.

After lunch Chloe had to go to her class so I went back to the campus and had a sleep. I was actually completely drained from the first day of Uni and tonight I have to meet Jai and I don’t want to look sleepy. So I lay down on my bed and drifted off to sleep, but I made sure my alarm was set so I could get ready later.

Beep beep beep

SHUTUP, you vigorously annoying thing! I switched my alarm off and opened my eyes. It was 6:30 pm and it was already pitch black. I got myself out of the bed and into the shower. I washed my hair and body before stepping out and wrapping a white towel around my body. I blow dried my hair and straightened it to. I began applying my makeup and styling my hair, I wanted to look nice for Jai. He actually hasn’t seen me really dressed up at all, so this might surprise him.

Once I was finished I stepped into my pale yellow dress. I put my ankle high socks on; they had a frill at the top that hangs over the top of my black heels. My hair hung on my shoulders and rested perfectly. I stepped out of the bathroom and was met by Chloe sitting on her bed.

“My gosh, you look stunning.” She said.

“Well thank you! But I have to go, I’ll see you later.” I waved as I left the room.

There were people still in the hallways and they all stared at me as I walked pass them. It’s probably because I’m quite dressy right now.

“OHHH baby, I’d tap that!” I heard a guy yell behind me.

I spun around to be met with a blonde haired, blue eyed asshole.

“I’m sorry, what was that?” I smugged.

“I said, I would tap that.” He said slyly as he stepped closer to me.

“Actually, you wouldn’t ‘tap’ this, because I’m not like one of your usual girls that you would fuck and dump!” I hissed as I turned around and strolled away.

I didn’t even look back at him I just kept walking and headed over to the lake. There was a little platform so I went and sat on a bench that was overlooking the lake. The water was glowing and the air was warm.

I felt a hand rest on my should and I stood up, Jai was standing right there.

“Why do you have to be so gorgeous?” He sighed.

“I’m not.” I replied.

“Yes you are.” He said.

“No I’m not.” I hissed.

“Yes you are.”

“Okay, I’m not having this argument, I’m not four anymore.” I giggled.

We sat down and looked at the lake together; we talked for hours about life and fate.

“Do you remember that time I told you that when your 18 I would put a ring on that finger.” He said and I immediately remembered when and what he said.

“Yeah.” I smiled as I looked up to him, his eyes were shining and they looked gorgeous.

“Can I please make that a reality?” He quizzed as he took out and small maroon coloured box.

He popped it open and bent down on one knee there was a sliver diamond ring in there. Oh my god, what’s going on, I’m freaking out, holy crap!

“Jai?” I said.

“Carter, I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.” He started. “Will you marry me?” He added taking my breath away and making me smile widely.

“Yes.” I replied.

Jai placed the ring on my finger and I leapt into his arms.

“I’ve had this ring since you moved back to the Gold Coast, and I hoped we would see each other again so I could give it to you.” He smiled.

“I love you so much.” I said as we pulled out of the hug.

“I love you to.” He replied placing a kiss on my lips.

My life is utterly perfect, I’m going to get married and I’m positive I will get the job of my dreams!
