Chapter 25- Happy

Carter’s POV

I’m so happy, I’m not pregnant and my birthday is coming up. I’m so excited I’m turning 16 soon and it’s coming to the end of this year. We only have two more weeks left of the school year. I’m a January baby and my birthday is in about a month. It’s my sweet 16 birthday, and I agreed to let the group organised my party. I’m still not sure if that was a good or a bad idea.

The two weeks past so quickly and today is the last day. From what I can remember the last day of school on the Gold Coast was always fun. I woke up and dressed myself and did my makeup. Only the grade 8’s, 9’s and 10’s were required to be at school, but barely anyone goes, so there will probably only be about 30 people there, but Jai said he wanted to be with me so he decided to come as well.  I ate some breakfast and then headed off. There was a light summer breeze and it was the perfect day.

I got to school and my whole group was there with cheeky grins on their faces. I was worried.

“What are these looks for?” I quizzed while hugging everyone.

“Oh nothing, we’re just organising your sweet 16.” Chloe giggled.

“Should I be scared?” I joked.

“Of course not.” She smiled.

I shook my head in laughter. The bell rang and we were instructed to go to the main hall. I found my way to Jai and link our hands together; he pecked my lips as we sat down next to one another and listened to the teachers. They told us that we would be doing absolutely nothing but watch movies all day. Jai put his arm around my shoulder as the movie started. It was a movie called ‘Grown Ups’ one of my favourites and we all laughed throughout the whole thing. Jai kept on whispering cute things in my ear, making me blush epically.

You see we have this stupid rule at school and we’re not allowed to hug and kiss our boyfriends in front of teachers, so Jai and I were hugging and kissing kind of and our principal walked up to us and broke away our cute moment. Jai and I huffed and separated a little from each other. But when she left we reconnected. The movies were all comedies and we all had a good old laugh for the whole day.

Once the last day of the final term ended I realised that this is Jai’s last year of school, I wouldn’t get to see him as much anymore. Our whole group was walking over to the park for a little while.

“Will you be my graduation date?” I heard Luke say to Chloe… WOW! Since when did this happen?

“HOLD UP!” I yelped ad turned around to face them. “Are you guys going out?” I quizzed.

“Well, we are trialling and we want to see how things go, but they going great so far.” Luke smiled happily.

“Awwwwwwwwwww, you guys are the cutest.” I over exaggerated.

“Haha, not even, you and Jai are perfect.” Chloe smiled.

“Speaking of grad, do you want to be my date?” Jai quizzed turning to face me.

“Of course.” I said giving him a hug.

We all sat down at the park and had a little chat session. I was lying between Jai’s legs while he twirled his fingers in my hair. I jumped up and an idea came to my head.

“What are you all doing tonight?” I quizzed.

“Um nothing.” Everyone answered.

“Good! Beach party tonight?” I smiled.

“Sounds like a plan.” Everyone agreed.

“Chloe you can stay at mine tonight if you want.” I said to Chloe.

“Sure.”

“Okay so we’ll meet there at like 7ish.” I informed.

We stopped at Chloe’s house so she could grab her stuff and we walked back to mine. We had at least an hour left before we had to leave. We did the usual take some selfies and have a gossip sesh. We talked about a girl at my school, her name is Rita, and she is awful. She hates me just because I’m going out with Jai. She’s also a slut; she goes around with so many guys I’ve lost track. She tries to make it her life mission to make my life a living hell.

After that chat we got ready fairly quickly. I changed into a pair of pale pink shorts and an oversized white shirt, with one of my straw hats, it kind of looks like the hat Cher Lloyd is wearing in her OMG music video. I told mum where we were going and then we left. The beach is only five minutes away so it didn’t take long to get there. Once we did there were all of our friends there and some other people from school as well. There was some music going and a bon fire starting up. I spotted Jai standing next to some girl awkwardly, he didn’t look happy to be next to her. I ran up to him and jumped into his arms. I latched my legs around his back and kissed him. He lowered down onto the sand me still straddling him. We pulled away after people started throwing sand at us. I stood up and we both walked over to the fire.

We all had an amazing time and it was a blast just chilling with all of our friends.

“Your party is completely planned.” Chloe smirked.

“YAY! I can’t wait!” I yelped.

“Make sure you dress nice and it will be held at my house.”

“Yes captain.” I joked.
