Chapter 5- Truth or Dare

Jai’s POV

She’s beautiful… like absolutely stunning. Every time we pass each other in the hall ways at school, I can’t help but stare. On a few occasions this week I’ve tried to say hello, but all that escapes my mouth is a small yelp.

I’m quite excited about the little get together that we are having tonight at Skip’s house. Carter will be there, that’s the only thing that makes me nervous.

As soon as school finished all of us boys headed off to Skip’s to set up everything. It didn’t take us very long as all we had to do was get food and drinks, shit like that. I placed down a cup of water on the bench when Skip randomly came up behind me. It startled me a little bit.

“So are you going to speak to Carter tonight?” he quizzed

“Why would I talk to her?” I hissed trying not to let him know that I have feelings for her.

“Well can you talk to her? She likes you.” He whispered

“No she doesn’t.” I said. “We met like 4 days ago.” I added.

“These things happen.” He spoke

“Whatever.” I snapped

I walked into the bathroom and changed into some clothes I had brought over. I ended up wearing a pair of jeans and a maroon polo shirt… they’re comfy, don’t judge. I brushed back my hair, I don’t want to look like shit in front of Carter. Yeah sure she’s two years younger than me but age is just a number.

Skips parents have gone out for the night, and they won’t be back until later, so we have the whole house to ourselves.

Carter’s POV

After school all the girls and I headed back to my house, mum had agreed to let us all get ready there. See my house is massive and I think it could intimidate some people.

I unlocked the front door and we all walked up the first set of stairs and onto the second floor, where the kitchen and T.V area is. Mum was busy reading a magazine.

“Hey mum.” I said.

“Hello darling.” She replied.

“These are my friends.” I replied.

“It’s nice to meet you Ms Clifford.” Chloe said innocently… she isn’t innocent. I have learnt a lot about that girl over the past few days.

“Please call me Ally.” My mum replied. We have a very informal family.

“Well we’re going to go get ready.” I said walking up the stairs and into my bedroom.

I shut the door behind me and sat down on my bed, kicking my shoes of as I did so.

“Your room is amazing. Like legit.” My friends agreed.

“Yeah it’s pretty nice.” I said.

I place my iPod on my docking system so we could all listen to music. We just chilled and danced around my room before we decided to finally get ready.

I reached for my pair of jeggings… if you don’t know what they are they’re half jeans half leggings, 25 bucks from Supre’. I slipped them on and chucked a grey over-sized jumper on. Skip did say jeans and a jumper. I popped my black VANS on and the girls and I were ready to go.

We all said good bye to my mum and headed out. We were walking to Skips which was on the other side of Glenroy. We were just casually chatting away when Cara pulled out a packet of cigarettes. I don’t usually tell people this, but I am addicted to those things, mum doesn’t know so shh.

“Holy shit give me one.” I begged holding my hand out for her to give me a smoke.

“Here babe.” She replied handing me one and a lighter.

I placed it in my mouth and lit it. I inhaled the toxins and puffed them out shortly after.

“You smoke?” Chloe quizzed.

“Um yeah. But guys don’t tell my mum, she would kill me.” I stated.

“We’re not going to tell, we all smoke to.” My friends said.

We continued to walk and soon we reached Skips place. His house was small, it kind of resembled a shoe box, but it was so cute. We knocked on the door as I put out my smoke, patiently waiting for him to answer the door. He soon did and he was as happy as Larry… I don’t actually know who Larry is; it’s just a weird catchy saying. We all headed into his home and we were directed to the lounge room, where I saw James, Luke, Jai and another boys, he had the most beautiful eyes I’d ever seen.

“Oh Carter, you haven’t met Beau. So that’s Beau.” Luke said pointing to the very handsome yet rough around the edges boy.

“Nice to meet you sweetheart.” He said standing up and shaking my hand.

“You too.” I replied sweetly.

“Yeah he is 18 and he graduated from Penola, he’s mine and Jai’s older brother.” Luke announced slightly looking over to Jai, who was sitting like a little kid on the couch.

“Okay then.” I replied.

We all began socialising with one another and laughing at random jokes and weird things. We were contemplating whether to play a game or not. But we ended up deciding on playing Truth or Dare, but the only app on any of our phones was the dirty Truth or Dare, so we had no choice but to play that.

“Okay Luke, truth or dare?” Chloe quizzed towards Luke.

“Um dare.” He jumped in.

Chloe clicked the dare button and read out what Luke had to do.

“Take off a piece of clothing from the person on your left with your teeth.” Awkward because Beau’s to the left of him.

Luke ended up just taking Beau’s blue scarf of with his teeth. We played the game for about half an hour before it got to me.

“Truth or dare Carter?” James quizzed smugly.

“Dare!” I pipped.

James clicked the dare button and waited for the phone to load.

“You must make-out with the person in front of you.” WHAT THAT’S BEAU, he’s three years older than me, and eh age is just a number.

“Come on then.” Beau encouraged.

I leant over to him before our lips touched and our tongues danced with one another. I could hear the group screaming and yahooing at us as we did so, and I couldn’t help but giggle as Beau did the same. We pulled away after about three minutes of kissing and bursted into laughter as the group did to, well everyone except Jai. Instead he stood up and stormed off.

“I must say, you’re a great kisser.” Beau winked.

I smiled at him as we continued the game. Let’s just say there was a lot of making out that night.
