*Y/n POV*

"If you dont mind me asking, what's the neighborhood like?" Y/n asks as she heads into the kitchen, Dinobot and Rattrap following behind her.

"Nothing too bad happens here but the Predicons do throw a block party once a year and it's been known to get pretty crazy during that time," said Rattrap.

"But the block party is always on Halloween. So it can get pretty crazy. Best be on your guard," growls Dinobot.

Y/n frowns. She didn't like the thought at a wild block party in the neighborhood.  "Has the block party gotten too out of hand before?"

"Only once but that was when Tarantulas was still living with the Predacons. He's...a bit unstable. One day he was fine but on the night of the block party he spiked the punch with a concoction of three energy drinks. One of the kids attending the party ended up having a heart attack. The kid did survive but the kid was from the family that used to live in this very house that you are living in now," said Rattrap. He and Dinobot help Y/n unpack the dishes. Rattrap opens one of the boxes labeled 'Food' and a confused look appears on his face when he opens it. "What the?" He pulls out a box of tea. "I think you might have mislabeled one of the boxes you have packed."

"Could have happened," said Y/n. She takes the box from Rattrap and sets it on the counter. "Looks like its turned into a guessing game then." She frowns.

Dinobot growls again. "This is a waste of time. You could have mislabeled all of the boxes and...." Dinobot doesn't even get a chance to finish talking because Y/n gets right up in his face.

"First of all, shut up and quite your damn bellyaching over the fact that the boxes I labeled 'Food' are mislabeled. I was in a hurry to move out of my old place. Have you tried to pack everything yourself when you had to move and your friends ditched you?! Front door is right there! Either help out and get food out of helping me out or leave!!" Y/n screams.

Dinobot shrugs his shoulders. "Whatever. Like I said, I'd rather be home playing ARK." He leaves the kitchen. "Later, vermin," he said as he waves behind him to Rattrap. A few seconds later the front door was heard opening following by the sound of it slamming shut.

"I'm sorry about that. He's normally not like this. He's just bummed out over the fact that his base on ARK got attacked. He's been trying to recover everything that he had in his base this past week," said Rattrap.

"That still doesn't give him the right to take out his emotions on someone he doesn't hardly even know," said Y/n. After a few hours, she and Rattrap had unpacked the kitchen and gotten half the house unpacked. It wasn't long before it started to rain.

"If you want I can have Cheetor come help unpack the rest of your stuff. I might even be able to get Tigertron to come over to help as well...that is if I can get him to come out of his room," said Rattrap with a laugh.

"Some extra help would be good. In fact I still owe you something to eat. I did in fact offer both you and Dinobot a meal after you helped me..." A boom of thunder crashes in the sky overhead, causing Y/n to look up. "How bad are the storms here? Maelstrom bad or tornado bad?"

"Not too bad but it is going to be a maelstrom tonight for sure," said Rattrap. "I'd best be on my way. I'll send Cheetor over tomorrow and possibly Tigertron if I can. It's good to meet you, Y/n."

"Same to you, Rattrap. Can't say the same about Dinobot though." Y/n sees Ratteap out the front door. Right as she closes the door, another boom of thunder shakes the sky. "Hopefully I can sleep though this tonight," she tells herself as she makes her way upstairs. She heads into the master bedroom and starts to unpack her blankets and sheets she needed for her bed. "Without Rattrap's help, I'd probably wouldn't have gotten my bed in here at all." Y/n gets in bed and pulls out a book to read until she was tired enough to go to bed. Shortly after the Persian, whom she affectionately named Hamilton, decides to join her. He curled up by her arm, sticking his head in the gap between her arm and the book to see what she is doing. Y/n decides to read aloud her book to the affectionate cat, as a way to bond with him. She was busy reading the book Riders by Veronica Rossi when thunder shakes the sky overhead again, causing both her and Hamilton to jump. Hamilton hides beneath the blanket, trying to hide from the loud noise. A few seconds later, a torrent of water falls from the sky, rattling against the windows and pelting the house. The wind picks up as well, shaking the trees surrounding the house.

Hamilton hides under the blankets, trying to hide from the loud noise of the thunder. Y/n guessed he was abandoned during a thunderstorm. "Hamilton it's going to be okay. Nothing is going to hurt you." She pulls up the blanket and crawls under the blanket to sit with Hamilton. She carefully lets him, as not to startle him anymore. "See? I'm here for you and the thunder doesn't scare me." Scratching Hamilton under his chin, earning Y/n a loud purr. When she feels that he relaxed enough, she picks him up and put him in her lap, continuing to pet the kinda freaked-out Persian. Another loud clap of thunder caused both Hamilton and Y/n to jump. Hamilton dashes out from beneath the blanket and opts to hide under the bed. "This is going to be a very long night," Y/n tells herself. She was about to try to get Hamilton out from under the bed when the lights start to flicker. She looks over to the lamp on the nightstand to her bed. "Please no...." Another boom of thunder and the lights went out. "Make that a very, very long night," groans Y/n as she stumbles out of her room, feeling her way downstairs, trying not to bump into things. After carefully making her way downstairs, she feels around in one of the unpacked boxes for a flashlight. While doing so, a knock sounds from the front door. "Who the hell would stop by at this time of night and in this maelstrom for a visit...." It was at that point that Y/n starts to get scared.
