Heading Out

*Ten years later*
*Y/n's POV*

Y/n was down in the kitchen making breakfast, listening to Amber and Aiden argue upstairs in their room. Y/n gor everyone up early since there was going to be a reunion at the campgrounds later that day with their extended family, the Maximals and Predicons, with their bondmates and kids. She laughs thinking of all the chaos there will be there. It was hard to believe that ten years ago, Y/n had set in motion, without meaning too, helping everyone find who they were meant to be with. Even though she didn't really influence what happened, she was glad everyone found who they belonged with.

Dinobot comes into the kitchen, pulling a shirt over his head. "What are they fighting about this time?" Dinobot asks.

Y/n shrugs her shoulders. "Not really sure this time. Probably over something silly. Despite that, it's times to eat breakfast. Do you want to go bresk them up or should I?" Y/n asks as she sets the table.

"I will. Most likely Aiden has turned into his Beast Mode. He's got to remember his sister is still human," said Dinobot. He heads back upstairs to the kids room. Yelling and screaming could be heard followed by both Aiden and Amber running downstairs, screaming and laughing, with Dinobot chasing after them.

"Come here!" Dinobot said as he grabs a hold of Aiden and Amber.

"You guys know we have to leave here soon to the reunion," said Y/n as she sits down at the table.

"Do we have too, mom? We don't know everyone who's going to be there," said Aiden as he sits down next to his mom.

"There will be kids your age there. Plus there will be games and food for everyone," said Dinobot. "Its going to be a bit of a drive there but we all wanted to get together and see how everyone has been doing these past ten years."

"So what's the deal with even going to this reunion?" Amber asks as she sits down next to Dinobot.

"A lot of us wouldn't be where we are today if it wasn't for our family and friends," said Dinobot. "If you want to hesr the full story about everyone, you'll have to wait until your older."

"How much longer before I'm older?" Amber asks.

"Eight or nine more years," said Y/n.

*Dinobot's POV*

Diobot helps Y/n load the car. They planned on staying at a hotel while they were at the reunion. Sleeping in the car wasn't an option.

"So where are we going?" Amber asks.

"We are going to a place outside of Paradise Falls. About five hours from the city. Its not going to be as long as a drive to see your grandparents," said Dinobot.

"We decided to have it close to home rather than head to South Dakota for it," said Y/n. She gets into the car, making sure the kids were buckled up. Dinobot gets into the driver's side. "Got everything?"

Dinobot checks for the house keys, his wallet and phone, double checks to see if the kids were buckled up, and makes sure their suitcases were in place. "I believe so. As soon as we pull out of the driveway, Amber and Aiden, if you forgot something in the house, we won't be turning around."

"So if you need anything, grab it now. Otherwise we are heading out," said Y/n.

"We're good," said both Amber and Aiden.

"Lets head out then," said Dinobot before he starts the car and backs it out of the driveway.

Two hours down the road everyine was getting restless.

"We need to find a rest stop that has a forest by it," said Y/n. "I need to stretch my legs and I'm sure you need to stretch your legs too, honey," said Y/n.

"That's the plan," said Dinobot. He looks in the rear view mirror at the kids. He could tell that Aiden was really restless. "We'll be stopping here soon, bud." After thirty minutes more of driving, they find a rest stop. Not a lot of people were there. Dinobot gets out of the car, waiting for his wife and kids to get out before locking the car. "We have fifteen minutes to spare. Make the most of it."

Y/n takes the kids towards the woods. Since they were now outside the city limits of Paradise Falls, some people weren't as accepting of Cybertronions.

Dinobit leads the way into the woods. Once he was further in, he changes into his Beast Mode. A half growl escapes his throat.

Amber and Aiden stare in wonder at their father's Beast Mode.

"So cool!" Amber squeals.

"When can I do that?" Aiden asks.

Dinobot's changes into his Robot Mode. "When you are strong enough and Tarantulas gives us the okay. He doesn't want you changing to early. Last thing we need to have happen is for you to get hurt." Dinobot stretches out his limbs before changing back to his Beast Mode. "How about we go for a run." He takes off running intonthe woods, Aiden closely behind him.

*Y/n's POV*

Y/n watches Dinobot and Aiden run through the trees. She was still kinda scared of Dinobot's Robot Mode but not as much as she used to be.

"So how come mommy doesn't have a Beast Mode and a Robot Mode?" Amber asks.

"Because mommy is human, your father is Cybertronion, and your brother is almost fully Cybertronion." Y/n looks down at her daughter. "But designed our differences, I will still love you and nothing will ever change it." Afrer waiting for fifteen minutes for Aiden and Dinobot, they get ready to head back out on the road.

"Better now?" Y/n asks Dinobot before she gets into the car.

"A little. May have ended up scaring someone on the way back," said Dinobot. He was back in his human form.

"Then it's best if we leave. Better to do so before we make a scene," said Y/n. She gets into the car and quickly buckles up.

Dinobot quickly gets into the care, making sure bith kids were in the car before he buckles up. He started the car and pulls our of rhebparking lot of the rest area. "At least we were able to get out and stretch for a bit. Will have a better opposite once we get to the reunion."

"It's going to be good to see everyone all together in one place." Y/n looks out the window, watching the scenery go by. "But I'm still greatful we are together as a family."

Dinobot reaches over and gives Y/n's hand a squeeze. "Same here. Love you."

"Love you too, dear," said Y/n as she leans over to givr Dinobot a kiss. Aiden and Amber 'ewwed' and laugh.
