Melting a Heart of Ice (Beast Wars Dinobot AU x Female Reader)

Here's What Happened

*This chapter that will be taking place will be entirely in Dinobot's POV. There will be no switching back and forth between two view points like in previous chapters, so I won't mark it as anyone elses view point, just Dinobot's. This will be in first person point-of-view. This chapter will explain what had happened to Dinobot*

*Dinobot's POV*

I leave the warmth of the cabin and head out into the cold to go patrol the area. I hated the fact I had to leave Y/n back at the party. Through the newly developed bond between her and I, I tell her "I love you and I'll be back as soon as possible." He thought about later back at home as to how he would teach her to 'speak' to him though their bond.

"I hate to leave her but I have to. Rather not take the chance of Rampage of showing up out of the blue," I think to myself as I trudge through the snow. I continue on my path through the snow and into the woods. I could already tell that Rampage was in the area. "Things should get interesting." I transform into my Beast Mode and then into his Robot Mode.

It was about another hour walking through the cold snow that Dinobot came into a large clearing, which he knew was well enough away from the cabin and Y/n. "I know you've been following me for quite some time, Rampage. Just show yourself already so we can get this over with."

"How long did you know I was following you?" Rampage questions as he steps into the clearing. He was already in his Robot Mode.

"I knew I was being followed as soon as I left the cabin. Why did you come here?" Dinobot asks as he turns to face Rampage.

"Besides to cause a little chaos, I'd thought I help someone out to get back what is theirs."

"You mean Y/n's ex-boyfriend, Eric? Am I right?" I start to circle Rampage, keeping his eyes trained on him. "Last I recalled about you, you don't help anyone unless you end up getting something out of it. You want Y/n. There is no doubt about it."

"Just think how easy it will be for me to kill you and then once Eric gets Y/n, I'll kill him and take Y/n as my own. Shouldn't be too hard. Once your sparkbond with her is broken, it should be fairly easy to form a new one with her. If not, I can just force it on her."

I need to act now, I think to himself. He growls and attacks Rampage. "I will not let you take her! I'll cut you down to size!" I charge forward, dodging Rampage's first strike and attacks Rampage's exposed side with a quick thrust of my sword.

Rampage knocks Dinobot's attack to the side and laughs. "Your bond with her isn't strong yet. Breaking it will be fun." Rampage slams his fists down towards Dinobot, missing him. Then he pulls out his gatling gun and shoots at Dinobot, point-blank range.

"Shit!!" Dinobot barely dodges the shot, one of the bullets grazed his leg. He goes on the offensive. He shoots Rampage with the lazer beams from his eyes, shooting off one of Rampage's crab legs.

Rampage takes another swing at Dinobot and knocks him back into one of the trees. While in midair, Dinobot transforms back to his Beast Mode.

Dinobot charges again at Rampage, leaping into the air, latching onto Rampage and digging his claws into him.

The fight continued on for quite a while. Each combatant had drawn quite a bit of energon. I see Rampage trying to make a break for it and pursue after him. After chasing after him for quit a ways a gunshot sound rings out and I feel something graze his shoulder. He transforms back into his robot mode, expecting another fight to happen. He reaches edge the woods which was next to the road. There was a black car parked at the side of the road. "Just give up already, Rampage." I noticed that Rampage was back in his human form. He was holding his right arm, blood was seeping through his fingers.

"How about we finish this on more equal ground," said Rampage as he cracks his knuckles.

"What equal ground, Rampage?" I look around and could tell that there was someone else near by. I can smell him. Seems Eric is in on this too. He was the one who tried to shoot me with that pathetic gun. I need to end this. I knew it was a trap. He changes into his human form with his sword in his hand. Another gunshot rings out and Dinobot reacts quick enough to deflect the first bullet. "Better come out now coward so I can rip you apart!" Eric ducks back down behind the car. "You're dead!!" My rage takes over, clouding over my better judgement. Now that I was face to face with Y/n's abuser, he wanted nothing more than to kill the guy. Dinobot takes off running and jumps on top of the car. He swings his sword down, barely missing Eric's head, who yelps in fear and fires another bullet, completely missing Dinobot. Rampage joins in on the frey, jumping on top of the car to land a few good hits on Dinobot.

To a passerby this fight would look rather funny, with Dinobot and Rampage fighting on top of a car while Dinobot tries to decapitate Eric.

Eric fires another three rounds, two hit Dinobot in the chest and the third hit Rampage in his chest.

"Enough of this nonsense!" Rampage partially transforms his right hand into a giant crab claw, grabs a hold of Dinobot, and starts to crush him.

I didn't stand a chance in my human form. I could feel my bones start to break and one of my lungs gets punctured by a broken rib. Now or never. I copy what Rampage does but with my eyes. I change my eyes to his Robot Mode's and shoots Rampage point-blank with a lazer blast, hitting Rampage right between his eyes. Rampage drops Dinobot and Dinobot makes a break for it.

I hurry back to the cabin as quick as he could. He could feel his strength draining. "What's the damage?" I ask my internal computer as I change back to his Robot Mode. "Damage critical...Spark chamber....Furthur actions required....Stasis lock." Dinobot didn't like what he was hearing. "Override!" I snap. I trudge though the snow and I still had a bit a ways to go. "Stasis lock...." I start to get mad. "I said override!!!" I fall to my knees, with immense pain going through my body. The damages were already done. "I was such a fool. I'm so sorry Y/n...." I fall down onto the snow.
