Melting a Heart of Ice (Beast Wars Dinobot AU x Female Reader)

What Happened?

*Y/n's POV*

Its was about thirty minutes before Blackaracnia, pulling up in a silver Toyota Camry, came to pick up Dinobot and Y/n for the party. Silverbolt was with her so Y/n and Dinobot sat in the back set of the car. "Been a while since I had last seen you two together," said Y/n as she buckles herself up.

"My line of work doesn't give me much of a chance to relax especially with the whole Rampage fiasco," said Silverbolt.

"Its not really your fault. We didn't know Rampage would strike this close to home," said Blackaracnia.

"Or even attack Icebird," said Silverbolt. He turns around to look at Y/n. "Sorry didn't mean to open up old wounds."

"No worries. Even his death was a shock to me. He was old when we first met. I just didn't expect him to die from his injuries caused by Rampage," said Y/n.

Blackaracnia starts the car and drives off down the road. Its takes about two hours and thirty minutes to get to the cabin that was rented out for the day, where the Christmas party was held. It was a bit of a drive which should have taken an hour to get there but she felt it was best to take their time getting there because of how the road conditions were. Pulling up in the driveway, they find Megatron and Terrasaur shoveling the sidewalk to the door clear of snow.

"Did it snow again while we had to pick Y/n and Dinobot up?" Silverbolt asks as he gets out of the car.

"We got hit by the tail end of the blizzard that had hit Paradise Falls," said Megatron.

Silverbolt and Blackaracnia get out of the car, followed by Y/n and Dinobot. They all head inside.

Inside the cabin, it had a warm and cheery aura. Christmas decorations were hung up, but not to the point it was too much. The tree, which reached to the ceiling, was almost covered in decorations. It had Christmas lights and tinsel as well. (For those of you who don't know what tinsel is, tinsel is shredded aluminum foil made to decorate Christmas trees. It was discontinued in the mid 2000's because little kids would try to eat it, pets as well would eat it too. Also it stuck to your clothes like no tomorrow with even the slightest static cling. It would stick worse to wool sweaters. No joke on that.) Y/n guessed the height to the ceiling was at least fifteen feet.  Eventually everyone is in the living room. Y/n, having found a comfy spot on the couch, only to end up getting almost squished by Dinobot who had wanted to be near her.

Soon enough everyone was presents and cracking jokes. During the joyous events, Y/n noticed that Dinobot was rather getting restless. "Something wrong?"

"Yeah...turns out Rampage may be in the area so we all have to take turns patrolling the area."

"It didn't stop you guys before."

"I know. I'm about to head out to patrol the area. Kinda wish I didn't have too..."

"You're worried, aren't you? Worried something will happen to either you or me while you are gone. Am I right?"

Dinobot chooses not to answer.

Y/n could tell that he was worried. Even despite everyone happy for the holidays, he was still worried about her. "I'll be here when you get back. I have our friends here to make sure I stay safe, okay?" Y/n kisses Dinobot in his cheek.

Dinobot couldn't help but smile. "I'll be back as soon as I can." After the rest of the presents were opened, Dinobot leaves to go patrol the surrounding area.

Y/n decides to head outside and steps out onto the back porch to get away from the heat of the cabin.
