*Y/n's POV*
It's been two days after the death of Dinobot. Everyone was in either a gloomy or depressed mood. Both the Maximals and Decepticons were dealing with the greif in their own ways. The Maximals were in shock and denial. The Predicons were angry over the fact it happened. They knew Dinobot was a good warrior but to end up dying at the hands of Rampage, it was more of a dishonor. Megatron had found out where the fight between Rampage and Dinobot had taken place. He also found tire tracks at the fight scene so the Predicons knew that Rampage had hell in killing Dinobot and that was what was pissing them off.
Y/n was at home now. She was released from Taranchulas's care once he gave her the okay that she was able to go home. As it turned out, she ended up suffering from, at the time of Dinobot's death, the Cybertronion equivalent of what humans would call a broken heart. Taranchulas explained to her that her heart went into a state of shock, because of the sparkbond between her and Dinobot, when Dinobot died. He told her to take it easy for the next few days to give her body time to rest and recover. Y/n was laying in bed. The funeral was in an hour. She didn't feel like going but she had too. "I don't feel like going, Cheetor," said Y/n.
"You have to go, Y/n. You don't want to dishonor Dinobot's memory," said Cheetor as he walks into the room, adjusting his tie. His hair was neatly combed and his black suit was wrinkle free. "His death has affected us. But you should still go. Even if you don't say anything." Cheetor walks over to the bed and pulls Y/n up to a sitting position. "Now come on. You should get ready."
"Fine then. I'll get ready for the funeral," said Y/n.
An hour later, everyone was gathered at the cemetery. The decision was made for a closed casket funeral. No one else wanted to take any more chances in case Rampage showed up again. Soon it began to rain, which only made the mood even worse. Those in attendance, both the Maximals and Predicons, wore the proper black attire. Thunder cracks overhead and lightning flashes in the sky.
"Let's get this over with before we get struck with lightning," said Optimus Primal. "If anyone wants to say anything, please do so."
Rattrap was the first to step up. "I will admit there were days we didn't get along very well, but through the thick of it, I still considered him my best friend. Even though I would never have admitted it. He will be missed." Rattrap gives Dinobot's casket a pat on the lid before walking away, tears threatening to fall from his eyes.
Everyone in turn says a few words but each person had to keep it short and sweet or risk crying. Though they may be strong, Maximals or Predicons, greif tears away at their sparks.
Last but not least, it was Y/n's turn to say a few words or at least try to without breaking down. Y/n steps up to the casket, protected from the rain from the umbrella she had brought. "Greif is never an easy thing to deal with. Whether it's of the passing of a family member or a loved one. When I had first met Dinobot, I thought he was rude, grumpy, and not very friendly." Y/n wipes a few tears from her eyes. "But as I got to know him, as it turns out, deep down he was caring and a nice guy. Over the time we got to know each other, we grew closer. I myself didn't know it at the time but because of Rattrap introducing us on day one, had changed the course of our lives. I myself st the time was recovering from a rather abusive relationship and wasn't interested in being apart of another one."
Y/n takes a deep breath to steady her nerves and wipes a few more tears from her eyes. "Over time we grew close. Even closer when I had found out what he was. It didn't matter what he was for I had accepted him for who he was. But despite the bumps in the road during our friendship, we didn't realize how close we were until the day of Halloween. We had started dating at that point but it was all cut short only a few days ago when he died at the hands of Rampage. No matter what Dinobot, you will be missed." Y/n steps away from the casket, not even giving it a backwards glance for fear of breaking down and crying even more. Everyone gives their condolences to Y/n before leaving. Last to leave was Cheetor since he was her ride home.
"Let's get you home before you catch a cold," said Cheetor as he lads her back to his car.
Y/n gives Dinobot's casket one final glance before following Cheetor's lead. Dinobot's death wasn't going to be easy to deal with.
*This chapter was kinda hard to write. Didn't even break down crying writing this one. As all of you know, dealing with death is never easy. Regardless if it is a family member or a friend. Or even a pet. Greif of their passing will stay with you for quiet some time. During my life I had experienced three deaths in my family. The first time was my grandmother. I don't remember much since I was only eight years old at the time. The second was my dad. He passed away from cancer back when I was twelve years old. That was when I was in sixth grade. His death hit me like a ton of bricks since it was so unexpected. Luckily for me I had greif counseling for the entire year with the school counselor and a few other kids who had lost loved ones that year as well. And the most recent death was my mom's. It was last year in May when I got the call at work from my uncle. He told me she had passed in her sleep from pneumonia. We didn't have a funeral for her but my uncle and I decided to have her cremated. I plan on scattering her ashes as soon as the snow melts. Like I said its not easy to deal with.
Also for those of you who are having a hard time in life, death is not the answer either. I know things can be difficult regardless of what life throws at you. Yes people will miss you even if you think they won't. Even your pets will miss you. Even if you have a fish for a pet, they will miss you. If you still think death is the answer, seek out help. Its is out there for you. Don't mean to give you guys a pep talk, I'm just tired of all this evil in the world. There is light in this darkness that shrouds us. Remember everyone, shine bright and take care*
