Meeting Them

*One month later*
*Y/n's POV*

It's been a month since Y/n had given birth to the twins, Amber and Aiden. Both her and Dinobot were about to leave to go to Alita-One hospital. It had been a rather stressful month. Y/n had gotten out two weeks ago but the twins had to stay. Amber was still in stable control as well as Aiden. Amber was born human while Aiden was ninety-five percent techno-organic.

A few days before Y/n was given good news from Tarantulas. Aiden would be released from the hospital before Amber since he was a bit stronger than her. But in Tarantulas's care, Amber would be able to leave when she was strong enough to leave.

At the hostel, in the ICU, both Dinobot and Y/n had been scrubbed down and dress with hospital scrubs over their clothes. That way, there's less of a chance for either Amber or Aiden getting sick. As they head into the ICU, Y/n coukd see other parents seeing their newborns as well. It surprised Y/n at how many other premies were born the day she had Amber and Aiden.

Tarantulas steps into the ICU, dressed in full scrubs, medical gloves, and masks. He greets Y/n and Dinobot before giving them some news. "You won't be able to see Amber much today. She had a drop in her oxygen intake so we had to put her on oxygen," said Tarantulas.

"We'll still be able to see Aiden, right?" Dinobot asks.

"Yes you will be able to. He's a bit stronger than Amber but she will survive since she's in my care." Tarantulas leads them through the ICU, towards an area further back.

Both Dinobot and Y/n were greeted by an odd sight. Where Amber and Aiden were, the area was closed off by a curtain with a sign hanging on to reading "Authorized Personal Only!".

"I'm sure you both are wondering why there is the curtain. I'll show you." Tarantulas steps through the curtain, beckoning Y/n and Dinobot to follow him. In the isolated area was a regular crib next to one of those incubators cribs to help premature babies regulate body temperature, which Amber was in.

But what Y/n noticed right away was the fact that Aiden was standing up, holding onto the rwiling of the crib he was in. "How?"

"Aiden is like my sparkmate," said Tarantulas. "He's ninety-eight percent Cybertronion and only two percent human. So because of his genetics, he is stronger than Amber but he's also why I am the only one to see him. The humans who are at this hospital, some of them sadly, are racist against Cybertronions and don't understand that we are just like they are even with our differences."

Aiden holds his hands up to Y/n, making a chirping sound.

"I'm sorry?" Y/n was a bir confused as to what Aiken was asking.

"He wants to be picked up," said Dinobot.

Y/n walks over to the crib and picks Aiden up, holding him in her arms. "Funny at how you knew what he said."

"Sparklings communicate with squeaks and chirps. Only their sire and carrier know what they are saying," said Tarantulas. He laughs a bit. "Seems you have more learning to do, Y/n," he teased.

Y/n looks down at Aiden and gives him a good look over now that she wasn't in any pain or under the influence of pain meds. Aiden had white hair just like his dad and he had hazel eyes like his mom. He had a few visible scales here and there but that didn't matter. Y/n loved him for who he was. He even had his mom's nose to. A few tears well up in her eyes. Aiden makes another chirping sound, reaching up to her face. Y/n knew what he had asked without knowing what was said. "Mommy is just happy to see you, sweetie." Y/n holds Aiden up so he could put his hands on his mom's face. His touch was gentle even if he did had recently trimmed claws.

*Dinobot's POV*

Dinobot had to help Y/n understand what Aiden would ask her. Even though they did have a bond between them, being bondmates after all, Y/n wasn't fully able to understand what Aiden asks. Dinobot sits down next to Y/n. "You'll get used to it. I mean it had taken you, from what you told me, you learned to speak Cybertronion in six months with Cheetor's help."

"True. I know to going to take me a bit to understand Aiden. But right now he's more curious as to why my face looks different than his."

"Sparklings are just as curious as humans as they grow up. When he's old enough, we'll figure out what his Beast Mode is."

Aiden holds his hands out to Dinobot, asking to be held by his father now.

Dinobot takes Aiden Y/n. "Go see Amber. I'll keep an eye on him."

Y/n gets up from her chair and steps over to the incubator. Amber was so tiny compared to Aiden. She wanted to hold Amber but was afraid to at thensame time as well. Y/n sticks her gloved hand through one of the access holes, carefully taking ahold of Amber's tiny hand. "She's smaller than a doll."

Dinobot could see the pain in her eyes over not being able to hold Amber. "Give or take another month and you should be able to hold her. She's in good care since Tarantulas is taking care of her."

"I know." Y/n pulls her hand away. "I wish they weren't born early. I would be abke to hold them both right now."

Tarantulas walks through the curtains, startling both Dinobot and Y/n. "Soery i didn't mean to scare you both. Got some good news for Y/n. Amber will be abke to leave here in a few months, give or take. I have to take care of a few things with Amber, so I'll ask you to leave. You can come back later tonight and visit."

"Thank you, Tarantulas," said Dinobot. He puts Aiden back into his crib, who ends up protecting with squeaks and chirps about being set down. He wanted to be with his family. "We'll be back tonight, Aiden. Help Tarantulas keep an eye on Amber." Dinobot waits for Y/n while she kissed Aiden goodbye. "Don't worry, Y/n. Both Amber and Aiden are in Tarantulas's care. He did say we can come back and visit tonight."

"I know. But I'll still worry about them," said Y/n as she leaves the curtained off area.

"It's our job to worry about them. Now I know your hungry. Let's go out to eat since it's been a while since we last been out."

"That's fine but I'll buy."

"If that's how you want it to be," said Dinobot with a laugh as they leave the ICU.
