Chapter 15: Love at First Sight

"Hey bro. San ka na?"

"Nasa intersection na. Malapit na sa inyo."

"Aba. Siguraduhin mo lang. Kanina pa kami naghihintay sa inyo. Kasama mo ba si Rian?"

"Oo. Kasama ko siya. I'll hang up, I am driving."

"Bilisan niyo. Ingats." With that note inend ko na ang tawag. Inialis ko na rin ang bluetooth speaker na nakakabit sa tainga ko.

Rian is still looking looking outside. Radiant glow is in her face which made her even more beautiful.

"Love." Tawag ko rito. Nilingon niya ako with a smile. "Hub?"

"Do you still remember this place and this day?"

Kunot noo siyang nag iisip at tila, parang walang maalala. "No. Why? Is there something significant in this place?"

"Yes." I said seriously still looking at the road.

"What is it?" Pagtatanong nito at tila pilit pa rin inaalala ang nangyare sa lugar na ito.

"You know what, this is the luckiest day of my life." Seryosong saad ko dito sabay hawak sa kamay niya at marahan itong hinalikan.

"Then why is that?" Sagot nito.

"This is the day that I met the girl way back when we are still kids. She is there in that street wearing a black skirt and a blue blouse that perectly match her skin and her hair is tied neatly at her back which made her even more beautiful.--"

Itutuloy ko pa sana ang kuwento ng bigla siyang nagsalita "What? Who is that freaking girl? I hate you. Ikaw bata kapalang bata ang dami mo ng babae." Sabay hatak sa kamay ko na hawak niya but he doesn't let me take it rather he hild it even more firmly. "Are you jealous?" Sabay ngisi nito sa akin

"Why would I? Just let go of my hand." She said and looked in other direction.

Mas lalu ko inilapit ang sarili ko sa kanya at medyo lumayo na naman siya sa akin. Nilapit ko ang bibig ko sa kanyang tainga at saka bumulong, "You know what you are being jealous of yourself. I am talking about you."

Nalingon siya bigla sa akin. "What do you mean?"

"The girl that I am talking about is you. You are the girl that I met when I was kid. That day, you were busy walking in this street together with your mom and it is the same day as today but in different year. You are girl that I keep on thinking and you never left my mind until one day my dad told me that you are that girl I keep on talking about when we are kids."

*Flashback*

"Dad, is it even possible to fall in love at first sight?"

Marahan nitong ginulo aking buhok saka ako sinagot, "Oo. It is possible. Nothing is impossible son."

"Are you sure dad?"

"Yeah. Son, why? Did you already fall for someone who you just met?" Yumuko ito sa aking harapan, ngumiti at ginulo ang aking buhok. Tumayo ito sa pagkakayuko, at pinagpatuloy nit ang pagtitimpla ng kape.

"I don't think so.." Casual kong sagot.

Lumingon ito at ngumiti ng bahagya, "Describe to me the girl son."
