Chapter 9: The Revelation

At Cole International University

Several days had passed. Mas naging maayos ang relasyon naming dalawa ni Heather. We used to pretend like a real boyfriends and girlfriend infront of others but when we are alone, we are just friends. He acts like a real boyfriend to me. Pero there is this part of me na, it looks like we've met before? But I am not so sure about it.

"Hi. Need help?" Sabi ng isang katangkarang lalaki na papalapit sa akin. Mukha siyang transferee kasi ngayon ko lang siya nakita.

"Uh. No need, malapit na rin naman ako sa classroom."Nakangiti kong sagot at saka tinuloy ang paglalakad bitbit ang isang bag na naglalaman ng aking mga libro.

Kinuha ng lalaki ang bag na bitbit ko at nagkalad. "Ako na magdadala. San ba ang classroom mo?"

"Room 401." Tila nagulat yung lalaki sa nadinig at nilingon niya ako. "Doon din classroom ko, magkaklase pala tayo."

"Transferee ka rito?" Pag-uusisa ko. "Ngayon lang kasi kita nakita." Pagpapatuloy ko.

"Oo. Transferee ako rito. Lumipat na kasi kami ng bahay kaya lumipat na rin ako ng school. Ano nga pala pangalan mo?"

"Angelie Marriannne Menova—but you can call me Rian for short. Ikaw ano pangalan mo?"

Dumaraan kami ngayon ni Heather sa hallway. He is holding my hands for goodness sake. Ilang beses kong sinubukan na hatakin ang kamay ko but he didn't let go, but rather hold it even more firmly. He is holding it at ease; did he even know what will be the consequences of this action?

*Flashback*

"Oh bakit dito ka dadaan? May klase ka ba dyan? Di ba doon ang klase mo ngayon?" Pagtuturo ko sa kabilang building.

"Bawal bang ihatid ang girlfriend ko sa classroom niya?" Pagtatanong neto.

"Hindi naman sa bawal pero hindi mo naman ako talagang girlfriend. Tayong dalawa lang. Hindi na natin pang kailangan pang magpanggap." Pagdidispensa ko.

"You. Are. My. Girlfriend. Remember that." He emphasized those words. "Even though this is just a contract relationship. I will take care of you through thick and thin, and what you do, it matters to me. Everything Rian."

Someone shouted. "Oh. Look!" Napabalik ako sa aking huwesiyo. She is even pointing at me, magkasalubong ang kilay at confusion even etched at her face. Everyone is now looking at us. Gusto ko na lumubog sa kinakatayuan ko. Damn Heather, are you doing this on purpose? Are you even thinking what might happen to me in the near future if you continue this stupid prank? He even managed to smile despite of the situation; the girls are looking at me.

Someone is eyeing at me and others are saying, "Who's that girl?", "Heather? Is that you?", "Oh! Is he taken?", "Damn, she isn't pretty.", "Mukhang ginayuma niya si Heather.", "Bitch! He doesn't deserve you.", "This can't be.", "Heather is mine!", "She looks like a dust." I could hear gasps from the students. Iba iba ng reaksiyon ang mga estudyante, may hinimatay, may umiiyak, may humahagulgol, may sumisigaw, may iba namang pinagtatawanan ako, may iba namang nakuha pang maglabas ng cellphone at kuhanan kami. Mukhang this is the end of my life. I need to stop this show.
