Psychologist: Your child has Autism.
Connor: Really?
Rey: Wait, no one ever had that on Jakku or anything. What's Autism?
Psychologist: Well, it just means that she communicates a little differently.
Rey: Like speaking another language?
Psychologist: Eh, not exactly.
Connor: It's nothing bad, Rey.
Psychologist: She may also be sensitive to sound, be a bit hyper at times, and have attachments to unusual things.
Connor: Like the leaf (see last chapter)
Psychologist: See, it's a spectrum. *pulls out a chart of the autism spectrum* At the left you have high-functioning, in the middle you have regular autism, and on the right you have severe autism. Leia is somewhere in the middle. So it's noticeable. But like Connor said, Autism nothing bad. Your daughter is still very normal and healthy and can still live a happy life. Do you have any questions?
Connor: No.
Rey: No.
Psychologist: Alright then.
Connor: Thank you for everything, Doctor.
Psychologist: You're welcome. *shakes Connor's hand*
*Connor, Rey and Leia leave.*
I've been wanting to do this twist for a little bit. I've been doing extensive research on Autism so that I don't mess anything up. How did I do? Please tell me in the comments.
