"Stay still you egg" Addy said to me.

The eyeliner pencil was in her hand as I was sitting down on the toilet with her on top of me, her attempting to do my makeup. Ollie's 21st birthday party was being held at their apartment tonight, and we were told to dress fancy. I couldn't suck more at makeup, so Addy was helping me. Although, I don't know why she decided the best way to do it was to straddle me between her legs while using the toilet with the cover down as a seat.

"I'm sorry but the last time I got my makeup done the person didn't sit on top of me, and that person wasn't my beautiful girlfriend" I said with a smile. Addy looked amazing, she had already done her own makeup, going for a faded light blue concept to match her jumpsuit. Dresses were prefered but Addy was the exception, as she never wore dresses. I wouldn't say she hates them, just very much so dislikes wearing them, but she's ok with others wearing them.

"Your eyeliner is going to be just about as straight me if you keep wiggling" She said. I laughed, but tried to stay as still as possible while i did so.

Carter then walked in the door, looking at us like we couldn't be more insane. "May I please ask what is happening right now?"

"Addy's trying to do my makeup" I said. I laughed, thinking about how odd we must of looked right now.

"Alright then" He said. He turned to the mirror to check how he looked. He had on a black and white checkered button up with a black bowtie and some black skinny jeans, same thing he wore when Grey first came over. I guess that was his go to formal outfit. He did look quite handsome in it. He moved his hands through his dirty blonde hair, fixing it to look just right. He smirked at himself in the mirror, then walked out to put his shoes on.

"Finally I'm done" Addy said.

"Yay!" I said. Then, Addy tried to get up, but before she could I grabbed her. I stood up as quickly as possible, making her immediately latch her legs around me to say up. She yelped, but started laughing as I took her out of the bathroom. I let her down, her face still looked overwhelmed. I walked off to get my outfit on. We had to leave in about 30 minutes.

"Can I paint your nails?" I heard Addy say from behind me. I froze up. My mother's image plastered up on the backs of my eyes. I never told Addy about it, she doesn't know. I didn't want to let her down but at the same time I knew i'd be traumatic to go through with.

"Ruby?" She asked, I realized i'd been standing there for 30 seconds completely frozen and silent.

"Uh-um yeah" I blurted out. The words rushed out of my mouth in embarrassment, I didn't want to keep her waiting any longer.

"Awesome!" Addy cheered. "What color?"

"Um I don't know, I guess something that would go good with the maroon dress I have." My dress was a dark red and long sleeve, with the shoulders cut out and a fake button up top. It was that dress shirt material that didn't stretch and It went down to right above my knee.

""I think I have a similar shade of red" Addy said. She went to the bathroom to check, I put my dress on in the meantime. She came out with the little cylindrical bottle. My nails were already an ok shape, no filing or clipping had to be done. Addy sat me down at the coffee table with a napkin under my hands. She took my left hand gingerly and opened the bottle. I was trying to pretend I was ok but that was quite difficult. I've gotten used to hiding emotions I guess. I felt the cold paint touch my thumb, and I couldn't help but wince. She finished the thumb, then the next finger and the next finger and the next finger and the next finger. One hand down. I looked at my left hand. The fingernails popped out against my ashen skin and I almost liked it. It went well with my dress. She finished the second hand. I stood up as I looked at both of my hands. I was surprised to have a little smile appear on my face.
